What is required to create a composition for the New Year?

When you decide on the components of the composition, and its placement, it's time to collect all the necessary components and auxiliary materials.

To preserve the craft with living branches for as long as possible, place them in a floral sponge, which can be found in specialized flower shops. Simply moisten the sponge with plenty of water. If you are using spruce or pine branches, you can soak a sponge in a solution of water, aspirin, and drops of sugar (1 tablet per liter of water). This way they will last longer. Or put the bouquet in a vase (wine glass, mug, ...) with water or the solution described above.

Also for creativity you will need:

  • Wooden skewers (tangerines are strung on them, cones and candies are glued);
  • Glue gun / glue;
  • Jute twine;
  • Ribbons, bows, corrugated paper;
  • Any decorative elements of your choice (artificial snow, sparkles, tinsel, garlands, etc.)

1. Decor for the front door.

A wreath on the front door is traditionally considered a sign of trust and an invitation to passers-by to your home. Now on sale are many factory-made wreaths made of artificial branches. But you can create such a decoration yourself to create a festive atmosphere for passers-by. You can write absolutely any message on the door! Perhaps, on the contrary, you want to ask outsiders to go around your house?

Instructions:

1. Pick up the branches that will form the basis of the decoration. Fluffy spruce branches with long cones will look very impressive in such a "bouquet".

2.For the label with the inscription, you need to choose a plate of a suitable size. Pine is the best for processing.

3. Saw off the corners with a hacksaw so that they have a more interesting shape.

4. Drill holes for the plaque to be attached to the pine wreath.

5. Print a label with the selected message. Then take a ballpoint pen, pencil, or other pointed object and circle the lettering, pressing on the wood. The trace necessary for work will remain on the plate.

6. Circle the lettering with paint. Water-based dyes such as acrylics work best.

7. After the paint has dried, cover the plate with wood stain or varnish.

8. If you used a stain, spray the nameplate with acrylic varnish.

9. Pull the string through the holes.

10. Attach the sign to the spruce bunch. You can complement the composition with burlap or other natural fabric.

The decoration is ready!

2. Composition with candles.

Candles are traditionally used in New Year's decor. If you use pine needles and cones as a stand for them, you get a full-fledged decor item. You can fasten the structure with wire and polyurethane foam. You can add bright ribbons and shiny balls. The decoration will look even more interesting if you combine the branches of various conifers in it.

Prepare all the necessary materials - white or red candles, bright satin ribbons, wire, or a special net for crafts, foam for floristry (you can use foam), cones, balls, skewers or sticks for attaching candles.

2. Pick up coniferous branches. Pine, juniper and mistletoe look great together.

3. If you have special floristic accessories, use them. Build a structure with foam and mesh, available from specialized stores. But these materials can be replaced with polyurethane foam and ordinary wire. In addition, you can use regular clay as a base.

4. Pin the branches to the base, starting with the largest ones.

5. The result should be a pretty lush bouquet.

6. Attach the candles with wire or colored tape to painted wood sticks or skewers. Place the candles on the base.

7. Attach the cones to the composition. Ideal if you have a green wire at your disposal. Fix the other decor in the same way.


8. Find a place to place your composition. If you put the decoration on the windowsill, not only your household, but also random passers-by will be able to admire it.

3. And one more version of a wreath on the door ...

You don't have to stick to the standard Christmas shades. Instead of red and gold, complement the pine branches with silver balls and ribbons the color of spring grass. Such a decoration will look great on a light door without unnecessary decor.

4. Balls with natural decorations.

We used to hang the balls on the tree. Or you can do it in an original way and place the tree inside the ball. You can replace the spruce branches with any other needles. As a last resort, you can even make a similar decoration using artificial needles. Just pick up a transparent ball of the right size, remove the mount and fill it with your chosen branches.

5. Mistletoe for kissing.

According to tradition, if a free guy and a girl accidentally find themselves under the mistletoe branches, they should kiss. Sometimes lovers can wait for hours for their halves under the Christmas decoration ... You can make your own Kissing Ball, and not count on luck!

Instructions:

1.Choose a base for your ball. It is more convenient to work with special balls from a flower shop, but you can simply make a wire frame.

2. Fasten the needles to the base.

3. Complete the composition with mistletoe leaves and other herbs of your choice.

4. You can decorate the kissing ball with pine cones and dried flowers.

5. The balloon can be supplemented with a golden or scarlet flying one, for which the composition, among other things, can be fixed in the right place.

6. Laconic decoration for the kitchen.

Thuja or juniper will perfectly refresh any interior. You don't have to be smart, and just arrange the branches throughout the house in a beautiful festive dish.

If you love Christmas wreaths very much, you don't have to be limited to just one at your front door. You can hang homemade decorations anywhere, arrange accordingly. For example, a composition of wreaths made from different coniferous branches looks very harmonious.

Instructions:

  1. Match branches of different conifers of approximately the same size.
  2. Make a thick wire ring and paint it white.
  3. Fasten the branches to the base with wire or with a glue gun.
  4. Hang the wreaths on a wide red ribbon at different heights.
  5. If desired, you can add ribbons and balls decor to the wreaths.

8. Mini Christmas tree
