Black takes on the right side. Overview of berets of special units. Olive color: belonging to the troops

The beret is a soft headdress without a round visor. It came into fashion during the Middle Ages, but for a long time it was considered an exclusively male headdress, since it was mainly worn by military people. Currently, berets are part of the military uniform of various troops of the Russian Armed Forces, each of which has its own characteristic coloring of berets, which can be used to determine whether an employee belongs to one or another branch of the Armed Forces.

Historical reference

In our country, they began to include this headgear in the uniforms of military personnel in 1936, taking an example from the West. Initially, in the army of the Soviet Union, dark blue berets were supposed to be worn by female soldiers and only in the summer. At the end of World War II, they were replaced by khaki berets.

Massive use of this headgear in the uniforms of the Soviet Army began much later, having appreciated all the advantages of the beret: it is able to protect the head from various precipitations, it is extremely comfortable to wear, and because of its compact size and soft material, this headgear is extremely convenient to remove if necessary. , for example, in a pocket.

In 1963, the beret officially became part of the uniform of the military personnel of individual special forces structures.

Today, in the uniform of the troops of the Russian Armed Forces, there are such varieties of hats as black, blue, blue, maroon, green, light green, orange, gray, cornflower blue, raspberry, dark olive and olive berets.

  • Black berets indicate that a soldier belongs to the Marine Corps.
  • A blue beret on the head of a soldier indicates that he serves in the Russian Airborne Forces.
  • The blue beret refers to the military uniform of the Russian Air Force.
  • - uniform headdress of employees of special forces units of the troops of the National Guard of Russia.
  • Green berets belong to the intelligence elite of the internal troops.
  • Headdresses of light green color are worn by representatives of the Border Troops of the Russian Federation at solemn and official events.
  • Orange berets are worn by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
  • Gray - military special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  • Wearing a cornflower blue beret indicates that its owner belongs to the special forces of the FSB of Russia and the special forces of the FSO of Russia.
  • Raspberry berets were worn by those representatives of the troops who served in the Airborne Forces until 1968, since then they were replaced by blue berets.
  • The dark olive beret is the uniform headdress of the special forces units of the railway troops.

Soldiers wearing olive berets are perhaps the most difficult to identify as belonging to any type of military service.

Olive color: belonging to the troops

The olive beret is part of the military uniform of the National Guard. Until 2016, it was worn by representatives of the internal troops of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and special forces of the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. These troops carry out activities to ensure the internal and public security of Russia from various kinds of unlawful encroachments.

The troops have the following purpose:

  • ensuring the territorial integrity of Russia;
  • protection of objects of the country of special importance;
  • interaction with other troops of the RF Armed Forces;
  • ensuring the security of Russian citizens;
  • suppression of the activities of terrorist groups.

Very little is known about those who wear olive berets, since information about their activities is classified, wearing such berets is a great honor and pride for their owners, and much effort must be made to earn the right to own them.

Getting the insignia

To earn the honorary right to wear an olive beret, you must go through several stages of the most difficult physical and psychological tests, because only the best employees wear olive berets. The surrender for the olive beret takes place once a year. Absolutely every serviceman of Russia can participate, but not all members of the army can pass the olive beret exam, the selection of candidates is extremely tough. According to statistics, only about half of the candidates reach the last stage of the examination tests. To pass the standards for obtaining a beret, you need to carefully prepare both physically and mentally.

For a member of the army, applying for the right to own an olive beret, the following requirements are imposed on the exam:

  • demonstration of physical fitness;
  • marching through complex relief terrain with water obstacles;
  • ambush definition;
  • rescue of the victim;
  • overcoming the assault barrier;
  • demonstration of aimed fire skills;
  • demonstration of hand-to-hand combat skills.

The surrender to the olive beret begins with a preliminary stage, which includes such types of physical activity as pull-ups, push-ups, cross over a distance of 3 km. At the next stage of the exam, the applicant for the possession of the olive beret will have to go through an obstacle course, storm the building and demonstrate hand-to-hand combat skills.

During the passage of the obstacle course for two hours, the applicant in uniform weighing more than 12 kg must overcome water and other difficult obstacles. This test is conducted without the right to respite and delay. The applicant must then demonstrate marksmanship skills. With a 12-minute sparring with a change of partners, the surrender to the olive beret ends. Note that there are some similarities with

In our country, a beret is more often found on the head of a military man than on the fair sex. Women's berets are usually made from soft wool or angora. It is not necessary to beat off such products. It is enough to put them on the head and slightly flatten along the edge from one of the sides. The military beret is a different matter. He should sit proudly and sternly, indicating the seriousness of the profession of his wearer. By the way, by the beret, you can determine which type of troops the owner of the headgear belongs to, as well as get other additional information about him.

Black, maroon, blue

In different countries, the same color of a disc-like headdress indicates belonging to different branches of the military. The colors that are relevant for domestic military personnel are listed below.

  • Black . Black color indicates belonging to the Marine Corps. This is the most compact beret in existence. It can easily be hidden in a pocket or worn over headphones if necessary. The marines are the elite of the Russian army. And the black beret is evidence of belonging to this elite.
  • Maroon. A military maroon beret is a kind of award for a soldier, confirming his professionalism. You can get such a headdress only after successfully passing a series of tests. And first they conduct a training exam, and only after it does the military run a cross, demonstrate mastery of acrobatic tricks and engage in hand-to-hand combat with an opponent.
  • Blue. Blue berets are most often seen on soldiers and officers of the Airborne Forces. Especially when this type of troops celebrates a professional holiday. Until 1968, paratroopers wore crimson-colored hats. But then they were replaced by blue "discs", the wearing of which is still relevant today.

Berets are divided into suture and seamless. The latter are popularly called "droplets".

How to beat off a beret at home: simple ways for recruits ...

Any soldier is able to put the beret on his own, so that he ideally "sits" on his head. And the older and more experienced the soldier, the more ways to beat off he owns. The step-by-step instructions described below will bring the recruit up to date and tell you how to prepare the headgear for wearing as quickly and easily as possible.

sugar water

Peculiarity . To freely implement this method, you will need to prepare a solution of water with sugar. To do this, put a tablespoon of granulated sugar in a glass of warm water and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved. After the sugar solution is ready, you need to periodically dip the fingers of the hand used to beat the beret into it. The sugar water will act as a sort of hairspray and help hold the material in place.

What do we do

  1. We put on a woolen headdress on any convenient hand, using the palm as a stand for the beret "disc".
  2. With the fingers of the second hand, we begin to vigorously knead the surface of the beret, simultaneously forcing it to take the necessary shape.
  3. From time to time we moisten the fingers of the “beating” hand in a sugar solution so that the fabric remains fixed when it dries.
  4. We straighten the edging.
  5. When wearing, we try not to get caught in the rain in a broken beret. Otherwise, the headdress will simply lose its shape.

On the head

Peculiarity . This method will help you quickly shape a seamless beret. You will need to wet the product so that it is slightly damp, put it on your head and do not remove it until the beret is completely dry. By the way, this method can also be used by carriers of ordinary women's woolen berets, if they are tired of constantly forming a headdress when putting on. For suture berets, the method is not suitable.

What do we do

  1. First of all, we insert a tin badge - a cockade - into the headgear.
  2. Using a spray bottle, we wet the product, and then thoroughly shake it off to remove all drops of water from the surface.
  3. We put a wet round hat on our heads.
  4. We form a beret on the head as required by the charter (or following personal preferences).
  5. We wear, waiting for the moment when it is 100% dry.
  6. With the help of pliers or pliers, we press the edging, making it as sharp as possible.

With a hammer

Peculiarity . Having an iron and a hammer at hand, you can literally shape a beret in five minutes - even for women, even for men, even for the military. Moreover, both a droplet and a product with a seam. The headgear also needs to be wetted. A spray gun will help to evenly distribute moisture over the surface of the woolen "disk". You do not need to wet as much as the previous method requires. It is enough just to spray it with water, preparing it for steaming.

What do we do

  1. We moisten the surface of the headgear.
  2. We proceed to steaming with an iron, having previously set the appropriate ironing mode on the device.
  3. After complete drying, put the beret on a chair or other stable surface, on which you can easily beat with a hammer.
  4. We beat it off with a hammer, moving in a circle.

You can also beat off the beret so that it becomes solid with the help of an ordinary tablespoon. But only if it is not made of aluminum.

... and difficult for demobilization

It is far from always possible to beautifully beat off a suture beret using the methods described above. It all depends on the quality of the fabric and the circumstances of the use of the product. If plan "A" did not work, move on to plan "B" - more complex, but at the same time more effective methods.

Shaving foam

Peculiarity . To implement this method, you will need a small "arsenal" - a bottle of shaving foam, an iron or ceramic bowl of hot water, a razor, hairspray and tailor's scissors. Each stage of the algorithm described below must be implemented in practice strictly according to the instructions. If you manage to fulfill all the requirements exactly, then the beret will sit on your head like a glove - as if it was made specifically for you. But mistakes can lead to damage to the headgear, so try not to make them.

What do we do

  1. With the help of small tailor's scissors, carefully rip off the lining.
  2. We dip the headdress in a vessel with hot water and leave it to soak for a few minutes.
  3. We squeeze the beret well, not twisting, but pressing the product to the terry towel.
  4. We insert a cockade into a wet beret and put it on our heads.
  5. We proceed to smoothing the product and giving it the necessary shape.
  6. You need to hit the beret on the right side. To do this, the top of the headgear with your hands must be directed to the right. As a result, the coveted half-disk will appear.
  7. At the next stage, we hold the arch on which the cockade "sits", and with the second hand we smooth the top of the head forward. This action must be done with vigor and force. Otherwise, the beret will not give in, and its shape will remain the same. Don't be afraid to damage the fabric. It is quite strong, and it is unlikely that it will be possible to break it with your hands.
  8. After the beret has finally acquired the necessary shape, we take shaving foam and apply it on its surface. We do this without removing the headgear. We use a mirror for convenience.
  9. We wait a few minutes, and then we begin to rub the product directly into the fabric, doing it evenly - in order to avoid the appearance of white stains on the woolen fabric.
  10. We wear the beret for about an hour and a half until it dries completely.
  11. After we remove and carefully walk along its surface with a razor, thus eliminating the spools formed from the foam.
  12. Apply hairspray all over the inside. The more the better, ideally a whole bottle.
  13. From a piece of thin plastic, we cut out a figure resembling a cockade in shape, and insert it under the metal element - in the space between the cockade and the lining.

old newspapers

Peculiarity . If you don’t have the desire or opportunity to wear a wet beret on your head, resort to the method with an old newspaper. To do this, it is necessary to crumple the shapeless spherical elements and stuff the inside of the headdress with them. In addition to newspapers, you will also need plastic clothespins or women's hairpins that can fix woolen fabric well.

What do we do

  1. Using a spray bottle, we moisten the beret by spraying water over its surface.
  2. We stuff inside the beret the old press.
  3. We use clothespins and hairpins in order to give the necessary shape to the headdress stuffed with newspapers.
  4. We leave the woolen "disk" with newspapers inside until completely dry.
  5. After we try on and, if necessary, correct the resulting shape by re-wetting.

Hints for Army Cap Wearers

An army cap also tends to lose its "starched" look. Washing such things due to their intense contamination is necessary quite often. This means that every self-respecting soldier should master the skills of returning to their former form. And even an officer - and even more so. You can use two methods.

  1. We dry on the ball. After removing the headgear from the drum of the washing machine, it must first of all be dried properly. This can be done by wearing the product on the head. However, this is not always comfortable. Alternatively, you can put it on a ball, a three-liter jar turned upside down, or another suitable frame.
  2. We use starch. You won’t be able to beat off an army cap, but starching it is easy. To do this, in a spacious vessel, mix 100 g of starch and 130 g of cold water. Add another 900 g of hot water to the mixture and mix thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved. After we dip the headdress into the starch solution, avoiding its contact with the visor. We thoroughly soak the cap and, without squeezing the product, put it on the frame until completely dry.

Be sure to pay attention to the material used to form the peak of the cap. Products with a plastic visor can be washed in automatic mode. But the cardboard base will not withstand even hand washing. You will have to clean such a cap from dirt and dust in the dry cleaning mode.

Returning to the molding of the beret, do not despair if it did not obey you the first time. Remember a simple thing: manufacturers use a special pliable, like plasticine, fabric to create berets. If you are unable to give it the desired shape, then most likely you are doing something wrong. Check the correct execution of the algorithm and try again.

By the way, there are several more folk ways to fix the beret disc, which were not mentioned above. For example, the use of interlining, a semi-synthetic paper-like material that is glued under the lining on the inner surface of the beret, so that it keeps its shape better. For the same purpose, cardboard is used, and sometimes even paraffin or candle wax, pouring it inside for fixation.

Now you know how to beat off the beret correctly, and what methods should be used for this purpose. By the way, the owners of ordinary (non-military) disc-shaped hats can form them in a new way from time to time - in order to slightly change the image or dilute the bored image. Molding allows you to get fundamentally new options from the same product.

In our time, the beret is associated primarily with the uniform headdress of military personnel of some military branches. The most of them - the blue one takes the paratroopers. Its indispensable attribute is the hall on the right side. What is it for?

Elite Mark

The armed forces, like any other complex hierarchical structure, have their own insignia. They are used to designate the junior staff - soldiers and sergeants, the middle - officers from lieutenant to major and the highest - officers above the rank of lieutenant colonel.

In addition, insignia in the military environment serve to determine whether a soldier belongs to a particular branch of the military. One of the brightest and most revealing insignia is the beret. He talks about the belonging of his carrier to the elite of the armed forces. To determine which elite branch of the military a fighter belongs to, and a tradition has arisen to bend the beret to the right or left side.

right and left

Army berets in the armed forces of our country appeared only in the 1960s. They were originally purple. The familiar blue beret of paratroopers was introduced into everyday use only in 1969. Up to this point, to indicate belonging to a particular branch of the military, the practice of wringing the beret to the left or right side appeared.

Soldiers of special forces and internal troops began to bend berets to the left. Now they wear maroon and olive (green) headdresses respectively. In turn, the marines (black berets) and paratroopers (blue) began to beat the beret on the right side.

A special case

During parades, military personnel of all military branches wear berets with a bias to the left. Firstly, it is necessary for the unification and uniformity of the uniform of all military personnel. There is an opinion that this is done in order not to block the face. The fact is that a soldier, while passing in the parade, tilts his head to the right, so the bend of the beret in the same direction can cast a shadow on his face.

Others argue that the hall to the left is necessary in order to see the badge in the form of a flag, which is attached to the right side of the beret during parades. After returning to the places of permanent combat deployment, the paratroopers beat off the berets back to the right.

combat berets

Some argue that the slope of the headgear in the elite branches of the military, including the Airborne Forces, depends on whether the wearer of the beret participated in the hostilities or not. A hall on the left side allegedly means that the serviceman went to war or participated in special operations, and if on the right side, then he has no combat experience.

However, for the most part in the military environment, such a statement is considered nonsense. After all, the most eloquent indicator of the presence or absence of combat experience is still medals and orders, and not the side of the beating of the headgear.

Beat test

It is worth noting that the beret hall in the airborne troops is no less a serious test than a forced march or parachute jump. The ability to correctly beat off one's headgear has always served as a sign of the experience of a paratrooper, his real belonging to an elite army caste. A real paratrooper always knows how to hit the beret correctly.

Not everyone gets it right the first time. There are different "recipes" for how to break a beret. Experienced paratroopers advise using a sugar solution, not water, to moisten the headgear. Others are experimenting with wax. After moistening the beret, it is given the desired shape.

The military uniform for the Airborne Forces was approved at the end of the 60s of the last century. Berets were introduced immediately as a single pattern of headgear for the Airborne Forces. They were worn before, especially berets were common among military personnel of foreign countries.

The fashion for berets in military uniforms was introduced almost simultaneously in Britain and France during the First World War. Later this fashion was adopted by Germany, followed by the United States. After World War II, this tradition spread even more to other countries.

From the history of the blue berets

This fashion reached the Soviet Union only in the 60s. Interestingly, the Marines were the first to wear this headgear. Berets appeared in the Airborne Forces in 1967. Few people know that the original berets were not blue, but crimson. Although there was a blue color in the landing uniform then (edgings and shoulder straps). The crimson color of the berets was proposed by the artist Zhuk, who borrowed this color from the paratroopers of other states.

Raspberry coloring was not the only one. The artist demonstrated two versions of color schemes to General Margelov. In addition to crimson, there was also a protective color. It was planned to wear berets of this color as everyday ones, although this remained only a project. Raspberry berets seemed to "uncle Vasya" more suitable for parades, but he did not approve the everyday version.

In 1967, the Airborne Forces were given a chance to appear at the parade in raspberry berets. However, with this color of berets, the paratroopers did not last long. For unknown reasons, the high command decided to change the color of the berets. It is possible that the official party leaders were suspicious of the crimson color, and, perhaps, did not want to have anything to do with the color of the berets of the military personnel of the airborne forces of the capitalist countries.

In addition, there is another version that says that the blue colors are associated with the sky, which in turn could be most suitable for paratroopers. In general, there is no exact information about the reasons for such sharp changes in the color of the beret.

In 1969, the color scheme was changed to the one that is seen today, to blue. In addition, there was no everyday and ceremonial version of the berets, which could differ in color.

"Guards Corner" - a band on the beret of the Airborne Forces

Red badges were attached to the berets of the paratroopers, which were worn on the left side of the berets in everyday life, and during parades they were tilted to the right side. Later, such a badge - the band on the beret of the Airborne Forces began to be worn in all formations and units of the Airborne Forces. However, there were no unified sizes.

And since 1989, at the legislative level, the obligatory wearing of uniform badges by all military personnel of the Airborne Forces has been fixed. These badges were flags made of brass or rondol.

Since 1995, the band for the first time began to be made with the image of the Russian coat of arms. Subsequently, he was adopted along with a modified military uniform, and this was fixed at the legislative level. Corresponding changes to the military uniform of paratroopers were made retroactively. This was the decision of the Head of the Central Clothing Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense in July 1995.

Such rings are a great value for their owners. Especially those that were created by craftsmen with their own hands before 1989. Moreover, most bands made before 1989 are rare handicrafts and are highly valued by collectors.

Step-by-step instructions on how to beat off a beret

Initially, the beret is issued to a soldier in the form of a disk, which, of course, looks very ugly on the head. In order to give it a presentable appearance, the soldiers beat off their berets, which is a very simple procedure and is done with the help of improvised means.

First you need to cut out the lining in the beret with scissors, but leave the insert for the cockade. Then immerse the headgear in hot water for two minutes until it completely sags. Next, take out the headgear, squeeze it out slightly, insert the cockade strictly in the center (you should be guided by the insert inside the headgear), put it on your head and tighten it with a string at the back of your head

Without removing the headgear, use your hands to smooth it in the necessary directions. The left side is smoothed back, the crown is smoothed to the right side, thus creating something like a half-disk at the right ear.

The arch for the cockade is done like this: the cockade is held with the left hand, and with the right hand it is smoothed from the top forward, forming an edging.

After shaping the headgear, its improvement continues. For this, shaving foam is taken and applied to the headdress, and a lot. Next, you need to moisten your hands with water and rub the foam, not pressing hard on the headgear.

When all stains with white spots are removed, a final inspection should be made for the presence of defects and eliminate them. Under no circumstances should you take off your beret, you need to walk in it for about 1.5 hours.

After the beret dries on the head, it is dried on a table or radiator. In order for the beret to become as hard as possible and keep its shape longer, craftsmen advise spraying hairspray inside the headdress.

That's all, takes ready. It remains only to cut the plastic card so that it matches the size of the cockade. Two holes are made for the antennae of the cockade, the cockade is inserted, after which the cut-off plastic card is fixed inside and the antennae are bred on the sides. This will give the cockade a more stable fixed position. If you set the flag on the left side, then you need to do this evenly and not very far from the cockade.

Berets in Russian and other law enforcement agencies

Currently, blue berets are the most recognizable attribute of the military personnel of the airborne troops, equally with the blue and white vest. Recently, berets have become widespread in general, and maroon berets covered with legends have also become especially popular. The latter have the right to receive military personnel of only a few special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, maroon berets are worn on the left side, and blue ones on the right. The only exception for blue berets are parades, when absolutely all military personnel have to wear their hats on the left side, in accordance with the protocol of events. You should also be aware that blue berets are present in the armed forces of other states. So, for example, blue berets are worn by UN military personnel, although the shades of the berets of the Russian Airborne Forces differ from everyone else.

If you have any questions - leave them in the comments below the article. We or our visitors will be happy to answer them.

Different troops have their own colors of hats. So, paratroopers wear blue berets, infantrymen - black, and special forces - maroon. But in order to look neat and stately, you need to work a little on the appearance of the dress. For the military, berets are made from a lightweight, pliable material. Therefore, difficulties in order to shape the beret, as a rule, do not arise.

How to beat off takes at home: 4 ways

Before starting work, you need to decide which side to beat off takes. Maroons are usually worn with an inclination to the left side. Blue and black berets tend to hit right. And for the duration of military parades, representatives of all units make an edge on the left. Having decided on the form, it remains only to clearly follow the step-by-step instructions.

Method number 1

  1. Moisten lightly before hitting off a military cap or beret.
  2. Iron it through two layers of gauze.
  3. Lay the product on a flat surface and hit the edge with a hammer to make it sharp. In order not to spoil the furniture, use a cutting board.

Instead of a hammer, you can use a steel spoon. But in this case, it will take much more time to shape.

Method number 2

  1. To quickly shape a seamless beret (called a “teardrop”), wet and shake well to remove excess water.
  2. Put the wet product on your head and give it the desired shape.
  3. Wait for the fabric to dry without removing the product from the head.
  4. To finally fix the shape and make the edging sharper, press it down with pliers.

If you don't want to wear a wet beret, place it on top of a ball or jar, or stuff it with old newspapers.

Method number 3

  1. Carefully support the lining.
  2. Dip the product in hot water for two to three minutes to soak the fabric.
  3. Wear a wet beret.
  4. Pull the top of the head to the right and smooth it with the palm of your hand forward so that an arched crease forms above the cockade.
  5. Do not remove the headgear for one and a half to two hours so that the shape is fixed.
  6. Gently remove the beret and lay it on a flat surface, wait until it dries completely.

To fix the form, use auxiliary "tools". It can be clothespins or paper clips.

Method number 4

  1. Soak the beret well in hot water.
  2. Squeeze the product lightly to remove excess water.
  3. Knead the fabric vigorously with your fingers to sharpen the edge.

Means for fixing the form

Before beating the beret so that it is solid, the fabric must be additionally treated with a fixing compound. This will allow the wool fabric not to lose shape over a long period of time.

Shaving foam

  1. Putting on a wet beret on the head or model, give the desired shape.
  2. Without removing, thoroughly coat it with shaving foam, without missing the slightest area.
  3. Wait five minutes for the material to soak in the product.
  4. Wet your hands with cold water and start rubbing the foam into the fabric with a little effort.
  5. After getting rid of stains, finally adjust the shape and leave the beret to dry completely. This will take about two hours.

During the application of the foam, pellets may appear on the surface of the headgear. To get rid of them, treat the fabric with a disposable razor.

Sugar

  1. Dilute a couple of tablespoons of sugar in two glasses of water.
  2. Soak the headdress in the sugar solution so that the fabric is completely saturated with it.
  3. Hit the beret in the way you like.

A headdress treated with sugar syrup will lose its shape at the first contact with water. In addition, the fabric may attract insects.

Hair fixation spray

  1. To keep the military beret in shape, spray hairspray on the inside when the beret dries.
  2. When the product is absorbed into the fabric and hardens, repeat the manipulation.
  3. To make the headdress hard and immovable, you may have to use up a whole bottle of hairspray.

Adhesive layer

  1. Take measurements of the beret and transfer them to a piece of paper or cardboard to draw a template for the part of the headgear that needs to hold its shape.
  2. Using a template, cut out a part from an adhesive fabric (bag interlining is usually used).
  3. Fix the adhesive layer with a hot iron.

The adhesive layer is resistant to water. Thus, even after repeated washings, the shape will hold.

Paraffin

  1. Place the wet garment in the desired position and wait until it dries.
  2. Melt the paraffin and treat the areas that need to be stabilized from the inside out.
  3. Adjust the shape, if necessary, and leave the product to dry.

Rigid frame

  1. To put the beret on your own, cut out the fragments that require fixing from cardboard or plastic.
  2. Place a solid frame inside the product.
  3. Secure the backing with double sided tape.

Laundry soap

  1. To beautifully beat off the seam beret, moisten the places that need to be shaped.
  2. Rub the material well with laundry soap.
  3. Press the edge with your fingers to make it sharp, and secure with clothespins until dry.

Ordinary laundry soap may have a specific pungent odor. For the treatment of a headdress, it is better to choose modern odorless or flavored products.

The beret is worn not only by the military or workers, but also by fashionistas and fashionistas at any age. This headdress gives the image a special romantic touch and a touch of nobility. Even civilians will need military experience on how to hit the beret correctly. By giving the product a beautiful and stable shape, you will always look irresistible.

shape at home

This is the pride of any soldier. But it is issued in the form of a disk, which does not sit so beautifully on the head. In order for it to take the desired shape, it is necessary to beat off the beret. Every soldier knows this.

You can beat off the beret in the simple ways that are described above. But they may not work. Then this method is also suitable. If you do everything right, he will sit on his head like a glove.

  • Carefully, so as not to spoil anything, rip the lining with scissors.
  • We put it in water (the hotter the better) and wait a couple of minutes for it to soak. Then we squeeze.
  • Put the cockade in place, put it on.
  • We smooth it right on the head, giving the desired shape. The crown should be pulled to the right so that a half-disk appears. Then - an arch for a cockade. To do this, hold it with your left hand, and stroke the crown forward. Make sure that there are no holes, push harder. The fabric is strong and will not tear.

The seamless beret is a pretty practical headwear that suits both men and women equally and can be a great addition to any outerwear ensemble. Of course, today, like many years ago, the beret is associated primarily with military uniforms. Each unit and branch of the military has its own traditions of wearing berets and its own specific form of this headdress. However, it often happens that they are given to recruits in a state that resembles, rather, does not take, but a pancake, a frying pan, or something shapeless in general. So the first test of a newly minted soldier is to beat off the beret correctly. How this is done is of interest to many, so in this article we will try to simply and intelligibly tell how to bring the beret to its normal form and give it the required shape.

How to beat off takes: method 1

The headgear is slightly moistened with water, placed on a flat hard surface, such as a stool, and then beaten off along the edge with a hammer or an old spoon (but not aluminum) until the edge becomes thin and sharp, like arrows on trousers.

Method 2

How to beat off the beret and keep its shape for a long time? It is possible to moisten the beret before “shaping” it not with water, but with a sugar solution, and after beating, insert a special adhesive fabric, thick cardboard, plastic inside. Some even experiment with candle wax. As a result, when the beret dries, its shape will remain the way you need it for much longer. The only caveat is that now it’s better for you not to get caught in the rain, that is, not to wet your beret, otherwise you will have to repeat the whole process again.

Method 3

If you are interested in how to beat off the beret quickly, easily and without any special devices, try to moisten the beret, run your fingers along the edge several times in order to properly wash the piping. Then the left side of the band is gently stretched until the desired configuration is achieved. After that, the headdress is once again wetted with water, put on the head, where it is given its final shape. When you succeed, the beret can be carefully removed and left to dry completely.

Method 4

You still do not know how to beat off the beret with the help of a newspaper? Then remember: old newspapers are put into the moistened beret, and then with the help of hairpins, clips, clothespins and other devices at hand, it is given the desired shape. The headdress is left to dry completely, then tried on. If there are any roughness and shortcomings, you can slightly moisten the product again and correct the shape manually.

In fact, nothing complicated. The main thing is that even before you start beating the beret, you need to know exactly what form it needs to give. Even if your headgear looks unsightly at the very beginning, remember that berets are made from a material that can be easily processed and molded, so you will surely succeed. And another plus of berets (ordinary hats, not military ones) is that each time you can get an almost new product, depending on how you beat off the beret. The photos on this page confirm this.

How to wear a military beret

How to beat off a beret at home: step-by-step instructions for a military beret with a seam and for a “droplet”

  • Black.

Any soldier is able to put the beret on his own, so that he ideally "sits" on his head. And the older and more experienced the soldier, the more ways to beat off he owns. The step-by-step instructions described below will bring the recruit up to date and tell you how to prepare the headgear for wearing as quickly and easily as possible.

sugar water

Peculiarity.

On the head

Peculiarity.

Peculiarity.

Peculiarity.

Peculiarity.

Who wears an olive beret, how is the passing of standards to receive it

  • A maroon beret is a uniform headdress for employees of special forces units of the Russian National Guard troops.

  • ensuring the territorial integrity of Russia;
  • protection of objects of the country of special importance;
  • interaction with other troops of the RF Armed Forces;
  • ensuring the security of Russian citizens;

  • demonstration of physical fitness;
  • marching through complex relief terrain with water obstacles;
  • ambush definition;
  • rescue of the victim;
  • overcoming the assault barrier;
  • demonstration of aimed fire skills;

Note that there are some similarities with the surrender to the maroon beret from the special forces.

A candidate for the right to own an olive beret during the exam is subjected to the most difficult physical and moral stress, and if the applicant successfully passed all the tests, then he becomes the owner of the olive beret and can rightly be called a worthy representative of the troops of the RF Armed Forces.

The right to wear the olive beret can also be obtained as an award for special merit in the performance of one's official duties. The olive beret is a symbol of courage and courage, but no matter what berets military personnel wear, it is always equally honorable and responsible.

We bring it in order at home: how to beat it off correctly

For many military branches, the beret remains one of the components of the uniform. Therefore, first of all, this wardrobe item is associated with military overalls. Recruits are given berets in an extremely deplorable state - they resemble stacked pancakes. To bring it into a personable shape, you need to beat off this accessory.

The need to carry out this procedure also arises during the service, as soldiers often fold their beret and wear it under their uniform. If you want to learn how to quickly shape a hat, watch the attached video. The tips below will help not only soldiers, but also fashionistas who have this accessory in their wardrobe.

Using an old spoon

For this method, you only need a flat surface, some water and an old, necessarily heavy spoon. You can replace it with a hammer. Lightly dampen the accessory with water and place it on a flat surface. For this, a table or stool is most often used. If you are going to work with a hammer, then you should put a large cutting board on the furniture.
