  • When the tree is dry, we plant it in a pot, paint the trunk and branches with acrylic paint, and fix the surface with varnish.

Advice: Gypsum mortar recipe: mix PVA glue and gypsum in a 1: 1 ratio. The consistency should be moderately liquid so that the crown of the branches does not get dirty during the plastering process, cover it with cling film. Apply the plaster with a brush, and a simple needle or toothpick will help create the texture of the bark.

We take 2 thick wires. I have the length of the left wire - 32 cm, and the right one - 24 cm. We tie them with a thread (red thread in the photo) and make bends. Add 2 short branches on the sides to the right branch of our Fairy Tree.

For the convenience of work, as a stand, I temporarily used plasticine. Next, we will make vines. To do this, take a wire of the required length and wrap it with tape. We give curls to the vines and attach them to the branches with a thread (black thread in the photo). I took a thin wire for the left vine, 38 cm long, for the lower right - 18.5 cm. And by eye I took the wire for the two upper vines on the right. The wire for vines should be thin, but tight, it should keep its shape well.





2) We form our "pendants". Cut the beaded wire of the required length (I cut it with a length of 37-38 cm). And we string beads, alternating colors as desired. Leave 4-5 cm of bare wire at the end. For the left branch, I got 39 hangers, and for the right branch - 7. Also for the right branch, I cut the wire smaller.










Another variant:

Weaving beads according to this principle, I alternate it with other colors. Having made the required number of hangers, we attach them to the left branch.

In these photos, a smaller number was taken, later I added more hangs.

3) Now is the time to plant our tree. We take 3 short thick wires, make bends and fasten them to the trunk.


Now we need a stand. Wrap it in cling film.

First, we spread the first layer of gypsum on it, we do not plant the tree yet. In some places, I put pieces of wire to keep the stand strong. We do the gypsum solution as follows: Pour a little water into a container (it is better to take half from a plastic bottle), add a little gypsum and stir thoroughly. We need the consistency of thick sour cream. You do not need to make a lot of solution at once, as it dries very quickly.

Now you can plant a tree.


We coat the trunk and twigs with plaster. Make the solution for the trunk and branches thinner. To make the gypsum solution dry more slowly, add a little milk to it.

On this side of the trunk, I decided to make peeled bark.

To do this, make the bark smooth in the center of the trunk, and gently apply the top layer of bark on the sides.

On the other sides of the trunk, also apply a variety of bark outlines.



Using a sharp object, draw a bark relief on the branches.

When the bark of the tree is completely formed, leave it for a couple of days to completely dry the gypsum. In order to make the relief on the branches easier, dilute the gypsum thinner and add more milk. Then it will be more convenient to draw lines on the branches.
4) Painting the tree. At first I painted the tree with brown paint, the protruding places of the bark - light brown (with a dry brush, I applied paint with dipping movements). Green was sometimes added at the base of the trunk.

Cut off a 35 cm long piece of tape. Bend it away from you, as shown in the figure.

We begin to twist the rose. Slightly above the middle, not reaching the edge of the bend, we fix it with a thread and ...

Bend the tape again, but towards you, grabbing the edge of the previous fold.

And so, until the end of the ribbon, we twist the rose, making folds towards ourselves.

From below, we pierce all the layers of the rose with a needle and thread - this way our flower will perfectly keep its shape.

3. Using scissors and an awl, make holes in the newspaper and insert the tips of the roses soaked in glue into them.

We make sure that red roses always alternate with white ones and vice versa.

4. The next step is the stem of the tree. We paint the branch in golden color and insert it into the hole on the ball. Attention! Be sure to grease the tip of the branch with glue.

5. Cut out circles from ribbons of green shades 5 cm wide.

Fold them in half twice.

Burn the rounded edge with fire and quickly fasten the edges of the tape while it is still hot.

These are the leaves of the future tree.

We glue them around our roses. This will hide the gaps between the colors.

6. The pot is very easy to decorate. One has only to wrap it with a net for flowers and glue a bow.

7. Insert our topiary into the diluted alabaster. Cut off the polyethylene edges of the bag containing the substance.

8. Finely chop the rest of the tapes and cover the already frozen solution.

The top of the pot can be decorated with green threads.

I do not claim authorship, I will only tell you how one such idea can be realized - to "grow" an extraordinary tree in an apartment. This tree is a hanger, a tree is a chest, a tree is a meeting place for children's clothes, which usually "walk" all over the house.

I'll start by listing the required materials and tools. Materials: plywood 10 mm thick, two wooden blocks 20x30 mm, 6 mm bolts with nuts, screws, small furniture hinges, hooks for clothes, a piece of sheet metal or aluminum, natural fiber rope, paint. Tools: jigsaw, electric drill, wrenches or pliers, screwdriver, sandpaper, brushes for painting the product. In my opinion, a little.

Cut out the crown and trunk from plywood. You don't have to buy plywood, but choose suitable pieces from old furniture, as I actually did. I tried to depict an apple tree with a rounded crown. If you have oblong pieces of plywood, you can make poplar or cypress. You can hang clothes not only on hooks, but also on decorative elements that are attached at a distance from the main plane of the crown. To do this, a small block of 2x2x2 cm or a piece cut off from the handle of a shovel 2 cm long is placed under the decorative element. The fastening bolts pass through the decorative element and the center of the bar. For large elements, two or three bars are installed.

There is a secret hollow in my tree where you can put children's "jewelry". The hollow is cut in the trunk, and it is covered by a cap slightly larger than the hollow itself, in size. The size of the hole must be calculated so that the child's hand can easily crawl through. The cap rotates around the bolt at the top, from which it hangs. On the reverse side of the tree, so that the "jewels" do not spill out, we fasten the box made of sheet aluminum with screws.

We process all the details of the tree with sandpaper and paint in the appropriate colors. We put the finished product near the wall. Back it will not fall, under its weight and the weight of the clothes it will lean forward a little. In the front, our tree holds an extra root. The finished tree-hanger freely withstands 20 kg of clothes (tested by 2 years of operation). Bags, handbags, backpacks, toys and so on are hung on it.

My tree grew suddenly, on the night before my daughter's birthday. Joy knew no bounds. But now, after more than two years of exploitation, the daughter and wife cannot imagine where they can put all the clothes that are now “growing” on our apple tree.
