Sunday afternoon with family. Remember the interesting events that happened in your family on Sunday. Write a story about one of them. Sunday morning in the forest

Family traditions ... Unfortunately, in the modern world they are very little observed in our families. Over the past hundred years, political and social attitudes and structures have changed too often. Even some holidays were replaced by others.

In my childhood, there was one tradition that no one could break. I just didn’t want to break it because she breathed home warmth and comfort. Every Sunday my great-grandmother gathered the whole family at a round table. Until now, my sister and I remember the Sunday morning routine, how we got together, how we walked under the blossoming apple trees or rode on a sled to visit. We still remember the taste of great-grandmother's pancakes. And after the family dinner, the whole family would do crosswords or play bingo. And the day passed in such a family warmth, from which it is still warm.

When I got married, my soul desperately wanted to create traditions in my family. Under the furious resistance of my husband, I methodically began to spend some holidays, gather guests, arrange interesting meetings. Every year we held birthday parties with a specific theme. I myself made and decorated the cake for this theme. Gradually, the husband stopped resisting, and he himself was already waiting for another surprise.

When our eldest son was born, new ideas began to appear. Every year we have decorated and still decorate the New Year tree in a new style. Everything is used for decoration. The most favorite tree is a tree with toys made of peels and slices of tangerines, oranges and cinnamon sticks. Together with Matyusha, we made decorations in the form of roses and small fruit and gingerbread panels. The guests were indescribably delighted with our Christmas tree.

Matvey really enjoyed organizing the holidays. Once, he responsibly declared that our pet hamster should also have a birthday. We found small balls, inflated them and decorated the terrarium with them, hung garlands of the hamster's favorite sweets, and Matyusha fashioned and painted a new house for the hamster out of clay. The hamster really liked the house, because one could hide in it and sharpen one's teeth on it.

On New Years, the hamster also did not remain without a holiday. A house in the shape of a New Year tree was made for him from a candlestick, beads were hung and a picture with Santa Claus was pasted.

Easter has always been the favorite holiday in our family. The holiday begins long before the brightest Sunday. The week of pancakes and treats begins before fasting. First, the mother-in-law feeds her son-in-law with pancakes with caviar, and then she herself goes to visit her son-in-law. It is always touching to watch how the son-in-law looks after the mother-in-law, and the grandchildren circle around the grandmother and try to feed her.

Of course, we cannot do with simple painting of eggs for Easter itself. Every year we decorate the Easter corner. On Palm Sunday, twigs are placed, which we decorate with ribbons and small toys. On Monday we set up nice plates or egg coasters. On Thursday, these plates are filled with colorful eggs. We try not only to paint them, but also to decorate them in some original way. Easter cottage cheese is made on Friday. There are always three of them. On Easter, two grandchildren are taken to grandmothers, and the third is put on the festive table in our family. On the pre-Easter Saturday we go to consecrate the Easter meal, and on Sunday we first gather at the family table, and then we go to congratulate the grandmothers. This is a very festive week for children, filled with a mysterious sense of wonder.

We also try to decorate the apartment together with the children. This not only brings together in preparation, but also develops in the child a love of creativity. We pay special attention to attracting the eldest son to our joint activities. Girls, becoming mothers, try to do something unusual for their child. We really want our son to become such an unusual dad who can not only buy a gift, but make the whole holiday himself.

As the next children are born, our traditions are only strengthened. This is how our favorite tradition of celebrating children's name days was formed. At first we invited only Matvey's godparents, then Grunyash's godfathers joined, and now Petya's godfathers. It so happened that the children's birthday falls on almost one week: on July 6 at Grunyasha, on July 12 at Petenka, and on July 13 at Matyusha. On July 12, fasting ends, and on the 13th, all the godparents gather together either at our place, or we go out into nature. Since the godfathers of our children are priests, and the godmothers are all deeply religious, the holiday takes place in the atmosphere of a spiritual holiday. Before the meal, prayer, congratulations, wishes from the godparents, then they sing "Many years!" And then communication with godparents, a meal. And just like everyone else: jokes, music, games. Such holidays are very important for spiritual education. Now with the godparents, we are developing an idea for joint Christmas holidays. The kids have grown up and can already take part in Christmas performances. And the adults will prepare some surprises for the children with their own hands. I hope that everything will work out for us. In the meantime, every year we put on a Christmas nativity scene, in which on the night of January 7 we put a baby in a nursery. By the arrival of the baby, children determine the beginning of Christmas.

In fact, creating family traditions is not difficult, but very, very pleasant. After all, it is so joyful to see the happy eyes of children when they find small toys under the pillow in the morning of St. Nicholas Day. And how nice it is to look at the eldest son when he makes a birthday present for his dad with his own hands, and his younger sister helps him.

Family traditions bring joy to the whole family. They unite, warm. This is the future memory of our children. Already now it is incredibly pleasant to hear from the eldest son "Mom, do you remember you made me a cake?" or “Do you remember the guys came to our birthday party and we were looking for surprises?” Every child should have a childhood that he will happily remember later. Our task is to make it unforgettable.

P.S .: All photos from our family archive. Some photos have Easter in Tanyushkin's signature. These are also my photos. It's just that more often I sign photos with the nickname Dean, but sometimes I also use my own name.

My family loves to travel and spends all their free time in nature with family and friends. Well, what could be more pleasant than, having gathered in a circle of friends, to share new events in life and vivid impressions?

How it all started

Sunday was only yesterday, so the memory is still quite fresh. On this day, we were going to just relax in front of the TV, gain strength for a new working week, or let's just say - were going to mess around... But, apparently, life decided to dispose of a little differently.

On Saturday evening, our close acquaintances called us and offered to gather on Sunday for a cultural day. After a little thought about where it is best to do it, we opted for on vacation in the forest... Rest in the forest is the most the best pastime, because:

  • always in the forest fresh air;
  • the nature of the forest fascinates with its beauty and diversity;
  • in the forest you can find wild beasts;
  • in early autumn in the forest it is already possible pick berries and mushrooms;
  • the forest is the best place for the whole family.

I would like to note that in the forest we were going not only to take a walk, enjoy the beauty, but also cook kebabsnear a small lake. This year was pleasantly warm and sunny weather, which made the pleasure from the rest doubly.

Sunday morning in the forest

Arriving early in the morning with friends in the forest (about 8 am), we began, first of all, to collect brushwood for the fire, which we planned to light at about one in the afternoon. Having collected firewood and brushwood, we accidentally found at the edge of the forest mushroom meadow... On the eve there were heavy rains, which caused the mushrooms to "climb" one after another, so all over the forest it was possible to find edible mushrooms... Each of us collected exactly two baskets of mushrooms, if not more ...

Walking through the forest, several times every now and then we came across small hares, which immediately ran away. In addition to hares, we saw a pheasant and a partridge that day, as well as a family of hedgehogs that ran. I never thought we would be lucky enough to see so many forest dwellers! This was a real discovery for me, because in the city you will not see such inhabitants.

Closer to lunch, near a small lake, we cooked incredibly delicious pork kebabs. In a friendly conversation, we now and then discussed not only the latest news from the lives of friends, but also admired the natural wealth of the forest and their little forest inhabitants.

This Sunday I was very impressed and gave a lot of pleasant impressions that will remain in my memory for a long time. Once again I was convinced that sitting at home on Sunday - boring occupation... You need to get out at every convenient opportunity nature, admire it and enjoy live communication... It's so cool!

Each family has its own customs of celebrating Orthodox holidays. Similarly, there are such traditions in my family.

Christmas.

"The Nativity of Christ is an amazing time when the heart is filled with the expectation of a miracle ... And this miracle happens!"

The holiday is associated with the birth of the Son of God Jesus Christ. All people rejoice at this event, singing the glory of the Lord. Christmas is a great holiday for my family too. We celebrate this holiday with our loved ones. We prepare for Christmas in advance: we carry out general cleaning in the house, decorate the Christmas tree, prepare holiday dishes with our mother: bake carols, gingerbread dough in the shape of animals and cover them with glaze, prepare the Pine cones salad, bake stuffed chicken in the oven, duck or goose. Under the festive table, dad puts an old iron iron (it is stored in the garage all year round), on which everyone at the table must alternately put their feet in order to maintain health for the coming year (iron symbolizes health and strength). For Christmas, our whole family is very beautifully decorating the house: we make funny angels using the Vytinanka technique, from cotton pads. Together with my mother, we make beautiful spruce twigs from corrugated paper. It turns out amazing! Me and my little sister draw Christmas drawings and cards. Then, on Christmas Eve, we hang them in the living room. Christmas is always a special joy for our family. This is a truly bright and solemn holiday.

Maslenitsa.

... They kept a peaceful life

The habits of cute old times;

They have fatty Shrovetide

There were Russian pancakes. (From the novel by A.S. Pushkin "Eugene Onegin)
Shrovetide for my family is a folk, cheerful and satisfying holiday, which is accompanied by the farewell to winter. Pancakes are an indispensable attribute of Shrovetide, of course! It was believed that a person who had a bad Maslenitsa week would be unlucky throughout the year. For this holiday, my mother and I bake delicious pancakes with different fillings: my sister and I like it with condensed milk and strawberry jam; mom - with cottage cheese and sour cream; daddy - with minced meat; and we all love pancakes with fish caviar. We fold them beautifully and festively: with tubes, envelopes, bags, triangles and decorate with herbs. In the old days in Russia, pancakes had a ritual meaning: round, ruddy, hot, pancakes symbolized the sun, which flared up more and more, lengthening the days. On this holiday, my sister and I ride in a horse-drawn sleigh from an ice slide or go to the ice rink and skate. We also participate in fun contests and amusements in the square.

Easter.

Blessed and bright holiday of Easter

In a hurry to us with a spring breeze,

This day, both kind and beautiful,

Warms the heart, illuminates the house.

The weather is happy with the holiday

Easter cakes are dazzling on the table ...

Let resentment and adversity burn

Like a quick candle light!

Easter is my family's favorite holiday. On the eve of Easter, we begin to prepare eggs for this holiday: we boil raw eggs in onion skins and decorate them in golden-red shades. We paint some in different genres: gzhel, khokhloma, glue special stickers on them, use thermal stickers, we braid the eggs with beads. And most importantly, we bake Easter cakes. So rosy, fluffy, rich, tall with raisins. On top we decorate them with whites whipped into a thick white foam and sprinkle with multi-colored sprinkles. Also, my mother and I are preparing cottage cheese Easter with nuts, raisins, dried apricots or prunes. It turns out very tasty delicacy! My mother embroidered the icon of the Mother of God with beads especially for this holiday. And my little sister and I paint icons with stained glass paints on glass and take prizes in Easter competitions. My house is located almost opposite the church, and my sister and I go to light eggs and Easter cakes in the temple on Holy Saturday. We carry them in a basket, neatly and beautifully arranged. We dress for such an event in a special way: a skirt is obligatory, and we tie a beautiful scarf or a light chiffon scarf on our head, since the church is a special place. Late in the evening, at about eleven o'clock, the Easter service begins in the church. All night, until the early morning in the church there is a service post. Tired, but with joyful faces, we run home. And on Easter morning, we give out lighted eggs to neighbors, friends and acquaintances with the words "Christ is Risen", and they also give us colored eggs and joyfully exclaim: "Truly He is Risen."

All faces shine with joy

Hearts are free from passions ...

So miraculous influence

Holy words for people! ..

Christ is risen!..

Oh sacred moment! ..

Oh miracle, above all miracles,

What were in the universe! ..

Christ is risen!

Christ is risen! (P. Potekhin)

During the work week, each family member has many responsibilities and it is difficult to find time to get everyone together and just chat. Work, shopping, cleaning, boil-fry-bake, check homework, prepare things for the next day ... Communicating with children is chronically postponed, children feel abandoned, and guilt grows among parents. How to fix this situation? Start your own family day, which will repeat regularly, 2-4 times a month.

It is best to arrange such an event on the last day of the week. On Sunday, no one is in a hurry to work, to school or kindergarten, to circles and training. You can sleep longer, and then do your favorite things with the closest people.

In order for this day to go well and everyone is happy, it is necessary to agree on several important rules:

  1. Plan the day ahead so that all family members have time.
  2. When choosing events, take into account the interests and capabilities of all household members (it is unlikely that a two-year-old kid will appreciate ice skating, and a dad with a bad back will appreciate mountaineering exploits).
  3. The presence of other relatives and friends will be superfluous. This day belongs only to parents and children. And no lengthy phone calls!
  4. The computer and TV must be turned off for the whole day.

A rough plan for a family day might look like this:

Late breakfast. If on weekdays you cook breakfast - mom's “privilege”, today dad can replace her. It is enough to buy frozen semi-finished croissants, baguettes, donuts or buns. Even a parent who does not know how to cook can bake them. Make coffee and cocoa - a fragrant warm breakfast is on the table.

Cultural or sports event. Ideally, outdoors. Cycling, golf, tennis, just a walk in the park. If you come across a playground along the way, then parents will have a chance to discuss issues not intended for children's ears.

It's better to go to a restaurant for lunch. It is very interesting to visit restaurants of national cuisine, choosing something new every time. Mexican, Indian, French, Italian - in a year you will get to know the tastes of half the world.

After lunch you can visit a nearby museum or exhibition.

Back home, organize a joint cooking dinner... Lay the table solemnly and slowly enjoy your own food, discussing any topics of interest.

Lounge on the couch, including the prepared in advance family movie or cartoon.

After a fun and useful, and most importantly, a day spent together, which will undoubtedly bring the family closer, you can safely plunge into the hustle and bustle of everyday life, knowing that a new family day is just around the corner.

No, I do not mean workers in the service sector, hospitals and other enterprises with a shift schedule. Today Sunday is increasingly becoming the sixth or seventh working day, even for ordinary office workers who, having remote access to corporate mail or a stack of printed documents, of their own free will prefer to finish in a calm home environment what they did not have time to complete on workdays. Someone works part-time or takes overtime, and someone only on Sunday can find time to think about a serious new project. Even Sunday communication in social networks somehow imperceptibly turns into “work in social networks”, and here everyday life finally merges with weekends.

In a word, the centuries-old Christian tradition of dedicating the seventh day to rest and spiritual practices, which was interrupted in our country in the 1920s and 1940s, and then returned in the form of a seven-day working week with a day off on Sunday, is somehow gradually shaking.

Of course, Russia has never resembled Victorian England, where on Sundays it was impossible to send letters, or go to a restaurant, or to other European countries, where shops are permanently locked on the “day of the sun”. But for Russians of all classes, and for Soviet citizens, the day off was a day filled with special meaning.

“Whether we are believers or not, this day is still not like the rest,” says Jocelyne Bonnet, ethnologist and author of a study on the topic *. - It occupies a special place in European identity and culture. It helps regulate our social life, but also our soul life. Depriving yourself of a weekly day of rest and rest can cause severe internal imbalances. ”

“When problems arise in a family, we know that often it is due to a lack of communication and the time that children and parents spend together. And we ourselves are in a hurry to shorten this time? - Psychoanalyst Svetlana Fedorova is surprised. - Remember, the etymology of the word "Sunday" suggests that on this day we are given the opportunity to resurrect, return to ourselves, turn to our souls, understand and do what we really want. Turning Sunday into another working day is a step towards cultural and social regression! "

Let's try to restore the lost meaning on Sunday and learn to enjoy it again.

Cultivate symbols

“Sunday, in contrast to the change of days and seasons, is not a natural given, but a cultural achievement,” explains Jocelyn Bonnet. The seven-day week, invented by the Babylonians, had at first a religious basis. Religion teaches us that God created heaven, earth and sea in six days and rested on the seventh day. It so happened that the Jews took the Sabbath to serve God and spiritual concerns, while the Muslims chose Friday, and the Christians - Sunday. "The mythology of Sunday rest is an important distinguishing feature of the culture of all Christian Europe," the ethnologist notes. This day of rest, which at the beginning of its history was one of the components of religion, and became a social conquest in the era of the industrial revolution, is mythological insofar as it is part of the cultural heritage. And self-awareness: “To work five or six days means to be human,” continues Jocelyn Bonnet. - Work seven days as a slave. We should once again revive the cult of Sunday as a non-vain day, filled with soulful deeds, not burdened with work (as far as possible) or consumerism! "

Recreate rituals

“Once upon a time, Sunday was marked by very special social rituals: church service, family dinner, Sunday outing ...” recalls sociologist Jean-Claude Kaufmann. “Even the body had its own rituals,” says Jocelyn Bonnet. - Everyone put himself in order, put on the best clothes, "Sunday". “What we are seeing today is not the disappearance of rituals, but rather their specialization,” adds Jean-Claude Kaufmann. - Each of us starts his own order, and Sunday of some is not like Sunday of others. Some traditions persist, such as a Sunday walk: to go out into nature, out of town, in the forest, or even just wander the streets ... Others are changing: Sunday lunch tends to turn into a Friday or Saturday dinner, church services supplement or replace trips with exhibition, cinema or theater. Finally, some Sunday rituals have only recently emerged, such as brunch or Sunday jogging. Or as a trip to a shopping center - sarcastically minded readers will note ...

One way or another, there is something important that is designed to distinguish this day from the other six, namely: Sunday classes should be different from everything that we do on other days. It doesn't matter if we make chairs, cook something unusual or get behind the wheel - in any case, we do not hesitate to indulge in activities that, for this short and blissful time, pull us out of everyday life.

Free Sunday

Actually, it's very fortunate that Sunday is only part of the weekend. Which begins quite cheerfully on Saturday with the fulfillment of unpleasant accumulated cases, continues on a more relaxed Sunday and ends with the sadness of Sunday evening. Therefore, in order to enjoy Sunday to the fullest, you need to free yourself from shopping, cleaning, friendliness and children's lessons - in a word, from everything that did not work out in a week. Try to fill the end of Friday and Saturday with these tasks and unload your day off as much as possible. Otherwise, the sadness of Sunday evening threatens to visit you much earlier ...

Don't ask too much

In fact, despite the fact that we usually get a little exercise in the morning and take a walk with the kids in the afternoon, not enough time is usually given to couples. “After all, most of all we dream of relaxing at the end of the day, lying, for example, in front of the TV,” the sociologist notes. "And this is not very compatible with the efforts that sometimes need to be made by partners in a married couple in order to find a second wind." As a result, Sunday, which in principle is intended for joint pleasures, brings disappointment, which is the stronger, the less we were ready for it. Meanwhile, the recipe for weekend happiness is simple: reconsider your tasks and moderate your ambitions, because we cannot embrace the immensity. And at the same time, come up with a plan that the whole family will enjoy - one and only, but stick to it strictly!
