Let's start creating a beautiful origami gift box for loved ones with our own hands.

Step 1: cut the paper

Measure carefully and cut your paper to the correct size.

To make an origami box, you will need 2 square pieces of paper, one of which should be 1.2 cm smaller than the other. Therefore, if you are using standard sheets of scrap paper measuring 30 x 30 cm, you need to reduce the second sheet to 28.8 x 28.8 cm. The larger piece of paper forms the lid, and the smaller one forms the bottom.

Step 2: form the folds

Place the sheet in front of you, pattern side down, and fold it in half. Next, open it, rotate it 90 degrees and fold it in half again. Your folds should form a cross.

Step 3: fold the corners

Now fold each corner into the center of the paper square.

Your folded sheet should look like the picture in the upper left corner of the photo below.

Step 4: fold the edges

  • Take your square and fold the bottom edge towards the center.
  • Repeat for the other side. Your folded paper should now look like a rectangle.
  • Open it, rotate it 90 degrees and repeat. It should now look like the image below on the right.

Step 5: shape the cap

Pick up 2 opposite triangles and unfold them flat.

Take the top flap and start folding it inside the cap along the formed folds. This is the part where you might need to use some glue. If your triangle flaps don't fit very tightly, apply a thin layer of glue to each of them, press down and leave to dry.

Rotate the craft 180 degrees and repeat on the other side. As you can see, we have already started to form an origami gift box. Left just a little bit!

Step 6: make the bottom

Repeat steps 2-5 for the smaller scraped paper square.

Once completed, the larger box should easily fit on top of the smaller base.

  1. Cut out and fold a box of heavy pink paper.
  2. On the left side of the front wall, glue a strip of white paper lace.
  3. Use hole punches to cut some flowers and dots out of white printer paper.
  4. Stick small parts on the box.
  5. Glue an artificial flower on the valve. Fix a pearl rhinestone in the center of the flower.

Advice. If the flower is not at hand, you can cut it out of thick paper and add volume with embossing.

To make a box-envelope with a bow with your own hands, proceed step by step:

  1. Cut and fold a box out of heavy silver paper.
  2. Cut off three pieces / silvery pink ribbons.
  3. Glue the ring from one piece so that you can put it on the short side of the box.
  4. From the second piece, fold the bow and glue it to the ring, covering the gluing point.
  5. Cover the long side of the box and both side flaps with the third piece of ribbon.

Advice. Before cutting off the tape, attach it to the surface of the box at the gluing points. Cut pieces 2-3 cm longer than the surface to be pasted.

This box also does not require gluing and is made on the basis of one template, but the design allows you to change the shape of the sides, so the packaging may look different.

Master class on making a pillow box

The pillow box is similar to the envelope box, but, unlike it, requires gluing. And it closes at the expense of its own form.


Advice. When gluing, make sure that the sides of the box completely cover the valves.

The pillow box can be made more solemn:

  1. Cut, fold and glue a box of thick silver paper with a holographic effect.
  2. Cover the middle of the top and sides of the box with decorative tape, forming a strip about 2/3 the width of the box.
  3. Cut a cloud-shaped tag out of lilac paper.
  4. Gather a bouquet of artificial flowers and stamens and tie it with a thin lilac ribbon.
  5. Stick the tag on the strip of tape, fix the bouquet on top.
  6. Glue a small ladybug figurine - it will create a bright accent.

Advice. Paper with a holographic effect is quite difficult to work with: it is too active on its own, and it is not easy to come up with a design for packaging. A background for decor can be created from a strip of scotch tape.

The option is simple in execution and is relevant for gifts for any occasion. For making crafts, wrapping, colored paper, scrapbooking or cardboard are suitable. The latter is used to enhance the strength of the box.

The parameters of paper for making packaging with a removable lid depend on the size of the gift, average - 215 * 215 millimeters. The sheet should be square, the work is done without cuts, the parts are glued together with an adhesive pencil or PVA glue.

Pyramid

Square box

The box is made from a square sheet of paper. The method is simple to implement.



According to the instructions, the paper is bent several times, cuts are made in the indicated areas. The box is folded and secured with glue and double-sided tape. Strawberry

This ripe berry bonbonniere is ideal for wrapping sweets.


To make the product, a template is cut out, consisting of 2 parts: berries and leaves. Use colored paper, for scrapbooking or cardboard.

The strawberry box is bent along the dotted lines; a needle and thread are used to fasten the elements. The leaves of the berry are sewn or glued as desired.

Lock

The open box is in the shape of a padlock. The product is made of cardboard or paper.

For manufacturing, a template is cut out, bent along the dotted lines, the adjoining elements are glued together. Decorate the box with rhinestones, beads, ribbons. Optionally, you can make a key out of cardboard, scrapbooking paper or packaging paper and hang it on a string, string or string to the lock.


Small house

The boxes are neatly folded and glued. Convex parts are obtained using a template by cutting several circles along it and sticking on top of each other.



Mens

Classic version

Packaging for the stronger sex is presented mainly in a simple style with a minimum of decorative elements. Optionally, you can stick images on men's themes: cars, alcoholic beverages, watches, cigars, tools, etc.


The product is made according to the proposed scheme, the parameters of the box depend on the size of the gift. The layout is cut out and folded along the dotted lines, the work is performed without the use of glue. To make the rounded edges bent beautifully, it is recommended that you first draw along the contour with a knitting needle or nail scissors, leaving a light furrow. Small cuts are made on the top of the box, indicated on the diagram in the form of the letter "L". The recesses are connected, forming a kind of lock.

Shirt with tie

Spectacular closed packaging is presented in the form of a paper case with decorative elements: a tie or a bow tie.


A box is made of durable paper or cardboard. To do this, print out a ready-made template or draw your own layout according to the specified scheme. Folds are indicated by a dotted line. The box is assembled, the adjoining elements are carefully glued together, it is better to use PVA or Moment glue. The folded collar makes the case closed. If desired, it can be glued to the shirt.

You can make a tie or bow tie yourself or use a template. They are made of colored, packaging and any other paper, cardboard or fabric. Then the decor elements are glued to the box.

Case

The closed box is made in a classic style. It is made from thick paper or cardboard.


The template is cut out, folded along the dotted lines, glued together. To make the rounded edges bent beautifully and correctly, they first draw along the contour with a knitting needle or nail scissors, leaving a light furrow. In doing so, it is important not to damage the paper sheet. The notch is inserted into a previously made incision - a kind of lock is obtained.

Womens

Corset

In packaging in the form of a spicy item of women's wardrobe, you can present underwear, perfume, sweets, a bottle of wine, champagne and other exquisite gifts.


The process of making the box is quite laborious, the size, decor elements are chosen at their discretion. The work is performed on thick paper using templates. Such layouts are easy to draw on your own, adding new elements if you wish.

Initially, the front and back of the corset are cut out, the layout is folded along the dotted lines inward, the side parts are glued together.




Next, templates are used to make cups for the corset and the bottom of the package. 1 cup is made from 2 small parts. To do this, they are cut out, an element with 2 dotted lines is bent along them in opposite directions. Another small template with 1 dotted line is glued to the inner fold of the part, which, when the parts are connected, remains at the edge. The result is a convex detail - a cup with side recesses, with which it is glued to the corset. Then the second cup is also made and secured.

The large round template is the bottom of the package, which is glued to the lower inner folds of the corset.

Next, the item of women's wardrobe is decorated. To do this, with the help of nail scissors, holes are made through which ribbons, strings, ribbons are passed, flowers, beads and other elements are glued. If you wish, you can make and glue the straps, decorating them with lace.

Diamond

It is advisable to pack jewelry in a box in the form of a precious stone: a brooch, a ring, a pendant, a chain, and so on.



To make the product, cut out a template, use double-sided colored paper or cardboard. It is recommended to use black, blue, cyan, gold, silver and other bright shades. The craft is assembled and glued according to the master class.

Christmas trees

Sweets, Christmas decorations, figurines and more are packed in boxes in the form of a New Year's symbol. They can be done in several simple ways.

Option 1



The templates are cut out, and an additional side layout can be used if desired. It is printed on another, preferably bright colors, paper in the amount of 6 pieces and glued to the tree.



Crafts are carefully folded along the dotted lines. The ribbed side projections are carefully glued, for this you can use Moment glue. The bottom is secured using recesses that are inserted into the slots.



Additionally, the tree is decorated with beads, rhinestones. You can cut a star and secure it to the top with a colored toothpick.

The instructions for making the box are as simple as possible and suitable for collaboration with young children.


The template is printed or a similar one can be created by adding new elements. The layout is cut out, bent along the dotted lines, the side protrusions are carefully glued.

The craft is decorated with beads, rhinestones, imitating Christmas tree decorations. To hang the box on the Christmas tree, ribbons, ribbons, strings are attached to the top.


Snowflake

The figured box is made on plain white paper or cardboard. The rays of the snowflake make the package closed, forming a kind of lock.

Cake 1

The product is a closed package with a removable lid.


For manufacturing, a template is cut out, consisting of 2 parts: boxes and lids. The elements of the layout are bent along the dotted lines, the adjoining parts are glued together. Decorate the package with a burning candle made of paper rolled into a tube or a cut part of a cocktail stick and an artificial flame.

Cake 2

The box is made mainly of colored paper. It is convenient to use a glue gun to glue the elements.

2 strips are cut from a sheet of paper, one of which is 2 millimeters longer than the other. At a distance of 5 millimeters from the edge, a vertical line is drawn on both parts.

  • The bottom corner must be bent so that it lies on the center point of intersection of the drawn lines. You can navigate by the photo. Then you need to bend the resulting fold again, but so that its edge exactly coincides with the lined strip. Be sure to smooth out the folds well so that they can be printed on the paper. You can use the body of a pencil. After that, we unbend the square back, keeping the folds necessary for further work on the paper.

  • We repeat these steps for the three remaining corners, resulting in a finished square with a mesh of the folds we need. After that, we cut two side parts on both sides, which now look like houses.

  • First you need to print and cut out the template. If this is not possible, you can redraw it onto your thick paper, taking into account the required dimensions. The main thing is to keep the proportions.

Start by assembling the box. It consists of two squares 15x15 cm. Take one and fold it as follows:

  1. Fold the sheet in half along a horizontal line and unfold it again.
  2. Direct one side to the middle and iron the fold well. Return the square to its original condition.
  3. Place the workpiece in front of you in a diamond shape so that the two vertical lines are to the right.
  4. Bend the left side to the first from the edge. Fold a small triangle on the right side. It will turn out like in the photo.
  5. Mark two vertical folds by bending the left side of the sheet to the right so that it lines up with the vertical line. Bend the right side to the left to the line you just sketched out. Expand the workpiece.
  6. Point the bottom corner up to the border of the right side triangle.
  7. Return the sheet to its original position and fold over the right side. Repeat the action one more time and turn the workpiece over.
  8. On the back, fold the bottom two corners up to form a triangle.
  9. Expand the resulting shape, revealing the inner layer. One part of the box is ready.

Connect the resulting parts together by inserting the sides into the inner triangular pockets.










Lid

Begin assembling the cover. It has four parts. Each one folds the same way.

Take a 12 x 12 cm square and draw a vertical and horizontal line.

Direct the top side to the middle and iron the fold well. Always iron the folds carefully so that later there will be no difficulties with joining the parts.

You now have a square with two transverse lines at the top. Bend the top corners to the border of the first corner.

Direct the lower right corner up to the border of the same line.

Bring the right end to the edge of the left and iron the fold. Go back.

Fold the upper part down along the upper horizontal fold.

Form a diagonal line that extends from the middle of the lower-left corner and ends at the edge of the folded part.

Make a fold along this line to form a small triangle inside. There should be no new lines. Everything is already prepared in advance and the assembly is going on according to them. The part is ready. Do three more.
