Felt garlands

Felt – this fabric is now very popular for making crafts. Felt garlands are no exception. The fabric is very easy to use, it is soft and does not wrinkle, it lends itself well to stitching by machine and by hand.

Good command of a sewing machine will help you create entire compositional garlands. From felt you can sew small figurines of deer, Santa Claus, a team, a Christmas tree or fireplace mittens.

Felt lanterns are perfect for a child's room. Cut out ovals from yellow felt that resemble light bulbs in an electric garland. For fun, you can use threads to make eyes and a smile - the children will be happy.

A garland with large felt Christmas tree balls will decorate an elegant Christmas tree no worse than glass toys. The size depends on the height of the tree. Beads, beads and even buttons are suitable for decorating such fabric balls.

Garlands with paper cups strung on them would be very appropriate for youth New Year's parties. Multi-colored glasses under the ceiling are a very funny sight. And you can improve this decoration by simply adding a glass on top of a garland with light bulbs. Make a hole in the bottom of the cup and insert it into the light bulb. The result will be a dim light effect - an excellent solution for a party with friends.

1. Cut strips of paper in two different colors. The width of the strips is 2 centimeters, the length is 17 centimeters. In principle, you can use strips of paper of any size, the main thing is to comply with the following condition: width/length = 1/8 + 1 centimeter spare.

2. Fold the strip in half lengthwise to mark the center. Bend it back.

Cut colorful paper into strips.
Glue the edges of the first strip together to make a ring. This is a link in the chain.

Light bulbs

Light bulbs can be made flat, as in the version with snowflakes, or more voluminous, like a garland of rings.

For a flat garland, cut out the light bulb according to the template, paint over the base or use black tape instead, and draw a spring if desired.

For volumetric you need strips 1.5-2 cm wide, 20 cm long, and short strips 3 cm wide for the base.
