Holidays in the year weekend calendar. Summer and November holidays

The most anticipated days of the year for any Russian (well, in addition to his birthday, of course) are national holidays that allow you to take a break from hard everyday life, and sometimes even arrange mini-vacations for yourself. How many holidays and weekends will there be in Russia in 2014?

To begin with, let us recall which holidays in Russia are considered official holidays. First of all, these are the New Year holidays and Christmas - from January 1 to 8.

Then Defender of the Fatherland Day - February 23 and International Women's Day - March 8. May 1 - Spring and Labor Day, May 9 - Victory Day.

We celebrate Russia Day on June 12, and National Unity Day on November 4. Now more about how much we will rest on the occasion of these holidays.

New Year 2014

The longest official vacation for adults will come very soon. This time, Krasnoyarsk citizens, like residents of other regions of Russia, will rest for eight days - from 1 to 8 January. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 will be shortened, and the first working day in 2014 will be Thursday, January 9. As previously reported, "in order to rationally use weekends and non-working holidays by employees," the days off on January 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday), coinciding with non-working holidays, transferred May 2 and June 13 respectively.

Recall that last New Year holidays lasted 10 days.

Men's and women's day

February 23, 2014 - Defender of the Fatherland Day- we will note on Sunday, thanks to which everyone is provided with an extra day of rest - it will be provided on November 3. In March there will be no transfers, but women are much more fortunate - there will be three whole days off - from March 8 (Saturday) to March 10 (Monday).

May holidays

Rejoice, people! In May 2014 we are waiting for two short weeks in a row! From May 1 to May 4 (as you remember, May 2 became a day off due to January Saturday) days off are provided in connection with Holiday of spring and labor, so there are only three working days in a week. And next week on Friday the whole country will celebrate Victory Day - we will rest for three days, until Monday.

Summer and November holidays

Public holidays this year will also greatly please. In the summer we are waiting for the Day of Russia, which will give us four days off at once - from June 12 to 15 inclusive, and in the fall - National Unity Day, and four more days off - from November 1 to 4.

Note that in 2014, not a single ordinary weekend will suffer from the postponement of holidays. All Saturdays and all Sundays you can devote to yourself and your loved ones.

Thus, on February 24, Russians will work as much as they should have on November 3, namely, one hour less.
