Moreover, it is precisely Christmas greetings that they try to make themselves, if possible, and not buy.

On our selection of postcards for Christmas, you will see as religious symbols: angels, the Star of Bethlehem, the nativity scene in which Jesus was born; as well as traditional snowmen and snowflakes, Christmas trees, candles and bells.

A great selection of ideas for beautiful Merry Christmas greetings.

Photo story "Christmas cards from my collection". Looking at Christmas-themed postcards, you remember a lot: you remember who gave them and where these people are now, you remember family holidays, and, of course, you remember the biblical story about the birth of a baby...

    As an example, a voluminous postcard for these celebrations can be made using such a currently very popular technique as scrapbooking.

    And here is this option:

    And you can build a postcard like this using the quilling technique:

    And you can also work on such options for bulk postcards:

    I won’t tell you how to do it, but which ones are not very difficult to do, I want to show you.

    Here are a few that aren't very difficult.

    This is for loved ones

    And if the upper ones can still be somehow repeated, then the lower 2 works are aerobatics! Take my word for it, I know how it is done and what is needed for this.

    In general, there are several ways, but they all boil down to what, in essence, to make an applique, that is, take and cut out a beautiful and intricate pattern and New Year's patterns, and then take them and stick them.

    Now it is very fashionable to make gifts with your own hands, including postcards. Yes, indeed, such a postcard will be doubly pleased to receive. There are many options for making them. Here's a very pretty one, but it's a little tricky to make:

    And here's an easier option:

    You can make the whole postcard voluminous by cutting and bending the base. Such a postcard will be able to confidently stand on the table. Here is the layout of the cardboard base sheet. The places of folds are marked in white, the lines that need to be cut are marked in black.

    Having done these manipulations, get such a basis for the postcard.

    You can make some details on the postcard voluminous. Here, for example, is how to make Christmas trees and balls on a postcard.

    You can make a postcard that looks ordinary on the outside, but three-dimensional elements are revealed inside. Here is a step-by-step photo-master class for making such a postcard.

    A three-dimensional postcard for the New Year or Christmas can be made in the form of a folding one, with an application or a surprise from the inside.

    Inside the card, a whole drawing or a small stand is cut out, on which you can stick an application, as on a card with a Christmas tree:

    It is not difficult to make a card with a snowflake with your own hands. To do this, you need to fold paper or cardboard in half and cut out a beautiful snowflake. To make the snowflake symmetrical, you need a ready-made template that you can draw in advance or take on the Internet (redraw, reprint). This technique is called kirigami, an image inside a postcard that becomes three-dimensional when it is opened and unfolded:

    Such postcards are not difficult to make with your own hands and give to loved ones for the New Year. A handmade gift is the most extraordinary.

    Quilling technique and voluminous postcard:

    This year, my daughter and I are preparing handmade cards and gifts for grandparents. I will share with you some simple ideas, why simple, because the child cannot stand the laborious process, but wants to do everything with me

Handmade gifts will give a storm of unforgettable emotions. It is not necessary to buy expensive ones, the main thing is to invest your soul and love in them. Christmas cards can be called "magic" gifts.

Christmas cards with an angel are the personification of warmth, tenderness and purity. Creativity is very multifaceted, so you can use completely unpredictable materials in your crafts.

To create such a wonderful present you will need:

  • 3 coffee filters;
  • white cardboard triangle 9 cm high;
  • mugs with a diameter of 2.5 cm;
  • white thread;
  • glue;
  • gold thin ribbon;
  • toothpick.

Below you can see the stages of creating a Christmas card with an angel:

  1. Glue a toothpick to the back of the triangle. A quarter of it should be visible.
  2. Put coffee filters on the triangle.
  3. Stick two circles on a toothpick. It must be within them. These bonded balls are the head of an angel.
  4. Put a coffee filter on top.
  5. Tie a thread around the neck of an angel.
  6. Fold the third filter in half and tie in the middle. Attach the resulting wings to the back of the angel.
  7. The head of an angel can be decorated with a gold ribbon. It will serve as a pretty headband. If desired, you can draw the face of a cute angel.

This craft will fit very well into the atmosphere of Christmas. The angel is a symbol of purity, peace and goodness. Everyone will be happy with such an unusual handmade gift.

Christmas card in English

Christmas is a truly magical holiday. Sitting at the festive table, everyone wishes each other all the very best. Of course, I want to send congratulations to those who are not currently in the circle of friends or family. Then there is a desire to send a greeting card.

You can write a Christmas card in English.

Here are some congratulatory phrases:

  1. May this Christmas be bright and cheerful! - May this Christmas be bright and cheerful!
  2. May this season of joy open doors to new opportunities!
    Merry Christmas! - May this winter open doors to new opportunities for you! Merry Christmas!
  3. My best wishes for a healthy and happy! - My best wishes for health and happiness!

A Christmas card written in English is a very unusual gift. The main thing is that the person you want to give it to knows English. Otherwise, such a present will not be entirely appropriate. Often such presents are sent as a gift to their friends from other countries. Congratulatory notes must be written correctly, so if you yourself do not know English well, then you should not take risks.

In the technique of quilling

Using the quilling technique, you can create a very unusual Christmas card for the competition. At first glance, it may seem that doing such a job is quite difficult, but it is not. It is enough to try to create at least one postcard using the quilling technique to see how easy it is to make such a beautiful and unusual craft with your own hands.

To create a gift, you will need materials such as:

  • cardboard;
  • strips for quilling;
  • scissors;
  • toothpick;
  • glue.

In order to make a Christmas quilling card, you must follow the following steps:

  1. Take a thin strip of paper and fasten the tip into the slot of a toothpick.
  2. The toothpick should be taken in the right hand, and the tape in the left.
  3. The toothpick is rotated clockwise. The spiral is held from above and below.
  4. The end must be fixed with glue.

A tight spiral is the basis of quilling.

  1. Put a little glue on the end of the tape and attach it to the spiral.
  2. The spiral needs to be untwisted a little so that it becomes "free".
  3. Next, you need to make an element such as an "arrow". To do this, click on three sides of the spiral to form a triangle.
  4. For a Christmas card, you will need 6 arrows.
  5. It is necessary to make such an element as a "heart". Fold the tape in half. Screw the right end counterclockwise and the left end clockwise. For a postcard you will need 6 "hearts".
  6. Next, you need to make the element "eye". Pinch the coil on both sides and then release.
  7. You will need 6 "eyes" and 12 pieces of "tight spiral" of blue paper.
  8. For the basis of this postcard, black cardboard is best suited.
  9. Fold a sheet of cardboard in half.
  10. Glue a tight spiral in the center.
  11. Around it is necessary to attach "arrows".
  12. Glue hearts between the "arrows".
  13. Add an element such as "eye".
  14. Trim the edge of the card with curly scissors.
  15. Glue the inscription "Merry Christmas".

If desired, you can add the craft "snow". It can be done with white gouache.

Scrapbooking technique

Scrapbooking is a very unusual technique for creating holiday cards. It allows you to create an unusual and original craft with your own hands. Even a child can use this technique, as it is quite simple.

To create a Snowy Winter postcard, you will need two types of napkins from which paper will be made.

Here are the steps to create a Christmas card:

  1. In the foreground, you need to place a postcard with bullfinches.
  2. Attach a label to write on.
  3. Attach a button with the image of Santa Claus to the front side.

The postcard is ready. You can give it to your dear and beloved person. Scrapbooking allows you to create wonderful DIY works in a short time. This saves both time and money. Such small presents will delight everyone with their simplicity and accessibility.

Volumetric Christmas card

Volumetric crafts are very popular lately. They look intricate and unusual. It seems that it is very difficult to create a three-dimensional postcard, but it is not. It is enough to carefully follow the instructions, and there will be no problems with creating voluminous postcards.

In order to make a volumetric postcard with a Christmas tree, you will need:

  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • cardboard for the base of the postcard;
  • green cardboard for the Christmas tree;
  • sequins, beads and a hole punch;
  • fluff and cotton.

It is important to follow the following steps:

  1. Cut 5 strips from green cardstock. They should be of different lengths and widths. They must be folded with an accordion.
  2. Cut out cardstock and fold it up. Glue a large strip to the bottom of the fold, stick the strips further, closer to the top - less and less.
  3. Cut out snowflakes and glue them to the base and Christmas tree.

The gift is ready. This postcard will be a pleasant surprise. Such a sign of attention will cause very pleasant emotions.

Do not forget to please your family and friends with small surprises. A handmade gift is considered to be quite budgetary, but at the same time very pleasant, and most importantly, with all my heart. Such a gift will leave very good memories of yourself.

Photo Ideas

At Christmas, like at any other holiday, it is customary to give cards. Christmas cards are not much different from New Year's ones: the same snowflakes, Christmas trees, snowmen. True, you will not see Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden on them, but angels, stars and wreaths can be present in abundance.

Let's create some Christmas cards together: the simplest ones that can be made with children, and the complex ones that an adult can do. Let's start, as usual, with light postcards.

Postcard "Christmas tree from tinsel"

To create such a postcard, we need:

  • a sheet of paper for the base;
  • a sheet of paper with a pattern;
  • a sheet of plain paper;
  • shiny Christmas tree tinsel of any color;
  • glue and scissors.

Let's start making a postcard.

  1. Take a sheet of plain paper for the base and fold it in half.
  2. Take a sheet of paper with a pattern. Cut out a rectangle slightly smaller than half of the base sheet with curly scissors. Glue the patterned paper onto the base.
  3. Take a sheet of plain paper and cut out a smaller rectangle from it than from colored paper. Stick on colored paper.
  4. Take Christmas tree tinsel and fold it into a Christmas tree on a postcard. Glue with glue.

The postcard is ready.

Here is another postcard with a picture of a Christmas tree.

This card is made just as easily as the previous one. The key to success will be the correct selection of paper for the base and for decoration - the background for the Christmas tree. The Christmas tree itself is made in the form of strips of paper, one edge of which is cut into “noodles”.

When the Christmas tree is glued to the base, it is necessary to draw a strip around it along the contour with a brush with glue. Then “throw” on the glue either finely chopped tinsel or crushed Christmas tree decorations. After the shiny decoration is securely stuck, the remnants are simply shaken off the postcard. The Christmas tree itself can be dressed up with sparkles and pieces of tinsel.

Volumetric Christmas tree

Making a voluminous Christmas tree is much easier than the previous one from Christmas tree tinsel and sparkles.

For such a postcard, you will need strips of green paper or any other if you want to make an original Christmas tree. The strips must be folded like an accordion and glued to the sides of the base of the postcard, as in the photo.

Volumetric postcard is ready. It remains only to write a congratulations.

Postcard "Snowman"

A wonderful voluminous postcard with a beautiful snowman is within the power of everyone, only adults should help kids cut out a snowman. To make such a postcard, you need to take two identical sheets of paper. We leave one sheet for the base, and on the other, exactly in the middle, we draw the outline of a snowman.

Look carefully at the photo, and you will see exactly how to cut, along which lines. Where the contour is not marked, it is not necessary to cut the paper. It is better to cut not with scissors, but with a scalpel. Scissors are suitable only for manicure, with sharp thin ends.

Now you can color the snowman in white or silver, as you like. You can also decorate the edges of the card with silver paint or broken toys.

The final stage of the operation "Snowman" consists in gluing a sheet with a cut out snowman onto the base of the postcard. Be very careful not to glue the snowman itself to the base.

Here is our postcard.

Volumetric card with Christmas deer

Such postcards are made using the kirigami technique. This is a Japanese word and it means paper cutting. For the manufacture of such postcards, special skill and skill are not required, it is enough just to redraw the template on a sheet of paper, cut out the deer along the contour, glue them together and glue them to the base of the postcard.

And here is the template for the deer:

Christmas cards: embroidery, balls, photo cards

Christmas cards can be embroidered.

To do this, you just need to buy a suitable pattern for embroidery and embroider it on the fabric. Then the drawing should be carefully cut out and glued to the base for the postcard.

Postcards can also be made in the form of balloons with a surprise.

It is not difficult to make them, but as a surprise, you can use photos of relatives.

A branch of an evergreen tree, covered with gold or silver paint and decorated with a ribbon and toys, looks very interesting and beautiful on a postcard.

A few more ideas:

Now you can make a great Christmas card yourself and please your family, friends and acquaintances.

Master Class. Postcard "Merry Christmas!"

We will make such a beautiful card as a gift for the bright holiday of the Nativity of Christ

For work we need: colored and coated paper, colored foil, blue double-sided cardboard size A4, scissors, 2 satin ribbons (width 2 cm, length 15 cm), 2 satin ribbons (width 5 mm, length 15 cm), double-sided tape, glue

Step by step workflow:

1. On the inside of the cardboard, mark the fold lines according to template No. 1. This will be the base of the postcard. Then we bend the cardboard along the fold lines. On the larger side, cut out the curly edge

2. Glue silver foil 4 cm wide on the front side of the large side and cut along the curly edge

3. On the large and small sides, we make slots for ties 20 mm wide. We insert a satin ribbon into them (width 2 cm, length 15 cm)

4. We fix the tapes with double-sided tape

5. So that the tape does not “crumble”, we fix it with glue

6. We decorate the inside of the postcard. From colored paper that matches the color scheme, we cut out two parts of the shape that you like. The first part is 190x100 mm in size, the second - 190x90 mm

7. From the same paper we cut out 2 parts for a pocket 6x8 cm. On the side of 8 cm we measure 1 cm and fold into an accordion

8. Glue the accordions into the pocket

9. Detail No. 1 is glued onto most of the postcard. Detail No. 2 is glued on the middle part of the postcard

10. We attach a decorative bow to the slot with the inserted tape using double-sided tape

11. And, of course, congratulations on the holiday! We place it on part No. 1

12. We turn to the design of the outside of the postcard. According to template No. 2, we cut out the figures of angels and stars from foil

13. Glue them on the front side of the postcard

14. For angels with a helium pen, draw eyes, folds on clothes, feathers on wings

15. Cut out the inscription "Merry Christmas!" from colored paper. (We printed the inscription on a color printer)

16. Our postcard is ready! But on holiday everyone is waiting for a surprise. And our postcard will also be with a surprise! According to template No. 3, we cut out two angels. From satin ribbons (width 5 mm, length 15 cm) we make a loop and a bow and use double-sided tape to attach to the angels

17. Place the angels in the pocket

Postcard is ready!
