We decided to find out what is more profitable and better - to buy a ready-made kit or to assemble it yourself? To do this, we bought a ready-made gift for an average price of 450 rubles in a wholesale store (in a retail store, the same would cost 500-600 rubles) and collected a gift for the same amount ourselves in a retail store. As it turned out, in wholesale stores everyone counts by half a kilo-kilogram, and one candy can be collected only in a retail candy store.

We chose the ready-made set according to a simple principle: "Give us the most popular one." They did not even begin to peer into its content, although everything was on display in the window. She said: “What is a New Year's gift without Soviet sweets from our childhood? Take it! Each handful of sweets of different brands with the same price per kilogram were counted aloud to us: 33 rubles, 26 rubles, 77 rubles, 143 rubles - in general, this is how we collected a heavy bag for exactly 450 rubles.

In total: we got 64 sweets, all chocolate, but not a single “bonus” like marshmallows, marmalade and “toys”.

Although the weight of the gifts almost does not differ, there are more sweets in the self-assembled kit, and in the finished one, a tin box with candies and a plastic toy with chewing gum take on a lot of weight. In a self-assembled box, all sweets are only chocolate, everything is to your taste, it is chocolate that takes all the weight, but perhaps it will seem boring to a child, because variety is important for children. Seeing these two sets in the photo, you will say that in the self-assembled we saved on packaging by buying a simple bag with a picture, but no, it costs more than the cardboard container from the first set: 14 to 20 rubles. And the general conclusion is this: if you value quality and you have a certain taste, then collect the gift yourself, it will cost you less. And if you like surprises, try something new, different funny things that you yourself would not buy in a store, then take it ready, but most likely it will cost you a little more.

Grind dried apples and walnuts, mix them, add lemon juice, honey and cinnamon and mix well. Roll the balls from the resulting mass, not forgetting to put a few grains of pine nuts in them. Fry the nuts in a dry frying pan, then remove them, melt the butter in a frying pan and add all the indicated spices, cook the mixture for about 1 minute, then add the nuts, mix with the icing and wait until the icing becomes golden. Perhaps the most useful and sweetest gift is natural honey. But getting it in winter is not so easy. However, you can buy honey in a beautiful jar or try warming your own in a water bath.
