Beveled seams and crooked stitches, asymmetric pockets are unacceptable. Typically, the lettering on the rivets matches the label.
When choosing jeans, you need to pay attention to how the seams are finished inside. They should be well stitched so that the fabric does not creep and not a single thread can be pulled out. These seams are called "overlock seams" or "overlooking the fabric". With them, other seams last longer.
The jeans have double seams for durability. At the same time, the seams create stripes on the inside and outside of the leg for a slimmer look. Levis put double stitches on the inside and single stitches on the outside, Wranglers put double stitches on the outside. In doing so, they made the fabric darker and the threads brighter.

The inner tag of real American jeans should carry all the information about the product: care method, size, European code, consisting of ten, not five digits.
The main indicator of the originality of jeans is the fittings - "zippers", rivets, buttons. They contain information about the manufacturer. On branded jeans, only fittings with the designation YKK (but not TIT, MKK, TLF and the like) are put or their own, if one is produced. Each brand has its own logo, the image of which must be stitched on the pockets of the pants. Lee has the letters S, inverted horizontally and symbolizes the horns of a bison. For Wrangler, these are the initial letters of the company name - W.
