Souvenirs do-it-yourself sewing machine. Sewing machine from candies-mini mk. A perfect gift for a novice seamstress

My master class will be useful to those needlewomen who have PODOLSK sewing machines. As a rule, such machines, having survived to this day, still sew quite well, but their appearance is, to put it mildly, not very good. It's good that now there are many ways to make old furniture look good!

One of them is decoupage. Decoupage furniture is good because it does not require large material costs. In addition, absolutely anyone can learn decoupage, if there is a desire. And then, for sure, all your old furniture will come to life and flourish with bright colors, or vice versa, take on a noble appearance with a slight hint of antiquity.

So, I present to your attention a master class on decoupage of a sewing machine for beginner craftswomen.

Typewriter BEFORE decoupage:

My car AFTER decoupage:

From the materials I used the following:

  • white acrylic paint for the main work (I have VD-AK washable paint in a plastic bucket)
  • light green color for decoration (added to white paint)
  • napkins for decoupage
  • plain transparent file for papers
  • glue brush (best with a fan brush)
  • PVA construction glue
  • solvent for degreasing (I used solvent 646, but, as it turned out, it is better to use acetone)
  • varnish (I have a ZAPON)
  • a synthetic brush for applying varnish (I have it, as it were, trimmed with thinning scissors, especially so that the varnish lays down well)
  • sponge for tamponing (a regular dishwashing sponge or sponge is suitable)
  • fine sandpaper

First, I degreased the entire surface of the lid with a solvent and painted over with white acrylic paint in 1 layer.

After the first layer has dried, I painted over the lid and the bottom of the machine with a second layer of acrylic paint.

To make the surface evenly painted over, I also had to apply the 3rd layer of paint:

After the paint has dried, you can walk over the entire surface of the lid with fine emery paper, smoothing out all the irregularities and roughness.

Let's proceed directly to decoupage!

From the napkin, carefully pull out a fragment with our hands and, using a file, transfer the image to the surface of the lid.

The "file" method in decoupage

The essence of the "file" method is as follows. On a wide flat surface we lay out a regular file for papers, and on top, FACE DOWN, lay a fragment of a napkin. Spray the napkin from the spray bottle until it starts to float in the water. We straighten all existing folds, expel air bubbles from under the napkin. Then we take the file out of the water, wait for the water to drain and attach the file along with a napkin to the surface to be decorated. We gradually remove the file, so that the napkin does not move at the same time.

Thus, we glue the entire lid and the bottom of the machine with napkins:

At this stage, it is very important to cover all the glued fragments of napkins with PVA glue, otherwise, after the water dries, they will wrinkle and fall off. We do not regret glue, we thoroughly coat the entire surface! And then we wait until it dries completely.

To hide the joints between the napkins and add brightness to my typewriter, using a regular dishwashing sponge, I tamped the seams and joints with light green acrylic paint (I added a little light green color to the white acrylic paint and stirred it well so that the color was uniform).

End view

In principle, it was possible to stop at this, but it seemed to me that something was missing ... Therefore, I decided to add butterflies to the flowers.

It turned out brighter, more fun and more interesting! Butterflies revived her, it seems to me !!!

At the end, I covered all the beauty with varnish and waited for it to dry completely. ZAPON varnish dries very quickly, I covered the machine with it 4 times with intervals of 3-4 hours between applying the next layer. You can withstand a longer period of time between the application of varnish layers, the main thing is to make sure that the previous layer is completely dry. This completes my decoupage of the sewing machine!

I would like to add that decorating the car was not an end in itself. It was rather a “field for training” in the development of decoupage. But I'm still glad that now we have such a bright and summer car at home. So she cheers us up! I wish you pleasant updates too! Decoupage helps a lot with this!

Vintage Mini Treadle Sewing Machine Mechanical Music Box Vermilion$ 8.99 (with coupon)

The product is provided free of charge for testing and review.

Hello everyone.

I found such a funny souvenir in the form of a sewing machine :)

Dedicated to all people in the sewing profession, thank you for our new clothes and for repairing old ones!
He comes here in such a colorful cardboard box.

Inside, in cellophane, the heroine of the review herself.

Made of wood-styled plastic.
Only a piece of cloth is real.

The dimensions of the machine are 16 * 14 * 8cm.
Weight 200g.
Who among the youth do not know, there was such a legendary Singer machine.

Foot drive, i.e. specialist. rocker, put your feet and press like on the gas pedal in a car, by inertia it goes back by itself due to the flywheel.
Both your hands are free to guide the fabric while sewing.

By the way, my grandmother still has such a machine, which has a rather difficult fate.
During the war, my great-grandmother had to bury the car in the garden to save a potential wet nurse from robbery.
The machine is still working, my aunt sews on it.
Which of the modern ones will work like this in 80 years? :)

The creators also worked hard on this souvenir, everything is thought out to the smallest details.
There is both a needle (plastic) and a coil.

Flywheel with rubber belt, scissors.

And, of course, the foot drive.

But she can also do something else.
A mechanism is hidden under the table.

And it is driven not by batteries, but in the old fashioned way - by a spring.
There is a crank handle on the right.

The front drawer must be pulled out to start the mechanism.

Music will start playing, the foot drive will work, the handwheel, belt and reel will turn, the needle will move.
Those raised by modern POP culture can find analogies with horror films: clockwork dirty dolls and other freaks on a bicycle, but I am very far from such associations.

You can see how everything looks and sounds in the video below.
From one plant it plays 2.5 minutes, at the end the speed slows down a little.
You can stop it at any time by sliding the drawer in.

A cool thing, a great themed gift for people associated with the garment industry, or even just for children.

If you need a gift for a little car enthusiast, I suggest the option of sewing a textile toy with your own hands or applying a machine on a pillow

We sew a car as a gift for a little car enthusiast

Absolutely all boys, whatever their age, love to play with cars. And with age, this love becomes even stronger, what a man without a car) I think if you sew your baby such a soft pillow in the shape of a car, he will be incredibly happy. And also, you can sew an applique onto a ready-made pillow in the children's room. In any case, you can use old jeans available in every home for work.

Before you start watching a photo master class on sewing a car pillow, I want to offer you to buy a more serious and abrupt option as a gift) On the pages of the site http://kataemrc.com you can buy radio-controlled car models - airplanes and gliders, boats and yachts, tanks , quadcopters and much more - a dream come true for any little car enthusiast)

So, back to the toy - pillow), print out the template, increasing it by the required percentage, depending on what size you need a pillow machine

For work we need a basic fabric (you can use old jeans), printed cotton fabric for applique, cotton ribbon, threads with needles and pillow filler

That's all, we sew, turn out and fill with synthetic fluff or holofiber

And another option for a pillow with an applique

Sewing machine from candies-mini MK

For a lover of needlework, and especially embroidery, on her birthday or on March 8, she needs an appropriate gift that reflects this hobby. We have one such option.

Below we offer you a way to make a very custom gift with your own hands - a candy sewing machine.

At the start, we take a piece of dense and cut out blanks from it - the contour of the profile of a sewing machine made of sweets and a stand. To insure the structure, you can glue wooden skewers or ordinary sticks with tape or electrical tape.

As a more advanced option, you can make a volumetric model. To do this, you need to make another such profile blank, set it side by side and glue it around the perimeter with pieces of cardboard.

By the way, you can make gifts for other hobbies in a similar way. For example, camera for photographer and guitarfor a musician.

After that, carefully using a heat gun or ordinary glue, we attach the candies to the frame, tightly filling the surface of the cardboard. Sweets can be glued in several layers. At the finish line, we will have such a sewing machine made of sweets.

By combining the color and style of sweets, bars and chocolates, we can "draw" all the details of the machine, and get a craft almost similar to the real one.
