How to make a water lily out of paper in different ways. Do-it-yourself volumetric paper toy "Water lily - pin maker

You can make a water lily made of paper that looks like a real flower yourself. A water lily is a beautiful flower that grows in water bodies. It is called a flower for a mermaid.

How to make a water lily out of paper? Let's look at a master class on the process of creating a water lily from paper in stages.

To create a paper water lily, you need to prepare some materials... To get started, you will need:

  • yellow corrugated paper;
  • pink corrugated paper;
  • a small piece of cardboard;
  • regular office scissors;
  • PVA glue.

Scissors need to cut seven strips, they should be 1.5 centimeters wide. Then six strips 1.2 cm wide and five more - 1 cm. We begin to make petals from the strips. In order for the strips to take the shape of petals, you need to stretch them with your fingers, creating the shape of a boat. A circle with a diameter of 4 cm must be cut out of corrugated paper. Seven strips must be glued on top of the cut paper circle. It is worth starting to glue in a checkerboard pattern.

Do-it-yourself paper origami master class

To make an origami paper water lily, you only need two multi-colored sheets of paper... The paper must be colored. First you need 1 pink sheet of paper and 1 green sheet of paper. You will also need glue to secure the pieces of paper. The paper should be two-ply and not very thick.

First outlined diagonals... To do this, you need to fold a sheet of paper in half twice. Then each corner of the paper sheet must be bent to the center - a small square is obtained. The corners of the resulting square must be bent again. The third time you need to repeat the same steps. Then the resulting square is turned upside down, and again the corners of the paper square are folded.

After that, the corners of the square are bent a little again, but this time not to the center. Thinner paper allows the paper to fold more easily than thick paper. The paper craft must be turned over to the front side again. Then you need to start opening the petals of the water lily. You have to do everything staggered: first, the first row is folded, then the second and finally the third row.

May be supplemented with water lily with green petals. To do this, it is enough to glue two paper jugs of different colors. Unlike a real water lily, the paper lily will not wither and will always delight you with its appearance.

Felt water lily, DIY master class

A water lily can be a wonderful gift for a loving soul mate. Everyone can make a water lily with their own hands, you just need to be patient. Consider the master class in stages, the whole scheme for creating a water lily from felt.

For making felt water lilies you will need the following components:

  • multi-colored felt;
  • small needle;
  • threads;
  • small scissors;
  • PVA glue.

First, pieces of rectangular felt are cut. Then it is necessary that they look like petals. For this, pieces of felt are trimmed with scissors. The resulting pieces of felt are slightly bent, their ends are glued together with glue. You can sew the petals together if you don't have glue on hand. The middle of the flower should be made of orange felt. To do this, you need to cut a circle with scissors. The resulting circle is attached to the back of the petals. The result is a beautiful water lily. Such a water lily will come in handy instead of a brooch, hairpins.

Origami paper flower

Many origami lovers have a question: how to make origami from modules? Let's look at a master class on the process of creating a water lily with step-by-step operations for making crafts from origami modules with your own hands.

For work you will need:

  1. PVA glue;
  2. color modules of different colors.

You need to make a water lily from the modules according to the following scheme... You can choose which colors you like.

We lay out in a row:

Each row of modules is glued together. You should have six petals. The next step is to connect the petals. Take 1 module of white color, and connect two petals. Three modules are connected. We start to create a flower according to the following scheme: it is created in the same way. We begin to lay out the rows. The first consists of two yellow modules. The second one consists of 3 yellow modules. The third one consists of 4 modules of the same color. The fourth one consists of 5 yellow modules.

At the next stage, you need to subtract modulo until there is no remaining 1. Create six blanks. We connect each workpiece with glue.

Step by step description:

1. Mark on the seamy side of the yellow paper two circles with a radius of 7 cm

2. Cut out the circles

3. Fold each circle three times - it will be divided into 8 parts

4. Expand the circle and cut it along the folds. Leave the middle intact

5. Glue each part into a petal-bag.

6-7. On the seamy side of the velvet paper, mark a circle with a radius of 9 cm with a compass.

8. Draw a notch on the circle - you get a sheet. Let's cut out the sheet.

9. On the green sheet, glue the bottom whisk with one drop of glue.

10-11. We glue the upper rim - its petals should lie between the petals of the lower one.

12. Cut a piece of foam rubber so that you get a core and paint it.

13. Glue the core.

14. The assembly is complete.

A lot has been written about the endless possibilities that waste material gives to needlewomen and just people with imagination. One of the most affordable and therefore popular materials is plastic. It is malleable, easily dyed, takes any desired shape, and most importantly, there is a lot of it around. We are talking, of course, about plastic bottles that are in every home. The easiest way to use them is as vases and various stands. For this, the upper part is cut off, and the edges are processed as desired. But today we will offer you an unusual solution - making a water lily from plastic bottles, which will look especially impressive on small reservoirs or on the surface of summer cottages, pools, lakes.

You do not have to stock up on the necessary materials, because to make a water lily with your own hands, you only need what is at home.

We will need:

  • white plastic bottles - 3 pcs;
  • yellow plastic bottle;
  • plastic five-liter bottle;
  • scissors;
  • candle;
  • glue;
  • green paint.

To make your pond even more picturesque, do not limit yourself to one lily. Snow-white flowers on a bright green leaf will certainly delight the eye. A small recommendation: tie a rope to the craft, the other end of which is fixed on the shore. So your flowers will not migrate through the pond, carried away by the current or wind.

A piece of linoleum cut out according to the appropriate template can also be used as a support sheet. In this case, it is necessary to attach the water lily to it from the back side. Firstly, the fabric base turns green more easily, and, secondly, not so quickly water will destroy its front side, covered with a waterproof film.

By the way, the presence of a reservoir for the manufacture of such a craft is an optional condition. By painting the linoleum blue and cutting it out in the shape of a lake, you can easily make a decorative pond on your lawn. To prevent it from being destroyed by pets or your baby, secure the edges of the "lake" with stones (they can even be cemented). Having decorated the garden in this way, you can make beautiful crafts.

For a change in the interior, to create a composition or a night light - a paper water lily is useful for various crafts. There are many options for different water lilies, so some can even be used as decorations! And also - adding to a hand-made postcard will be very gentle and cute.

Corrugated paper water lily workshop

  • Cut out identical rectangles from white or light pink paper, which must be sharpened at one end. Then stretch the edges to the sides so that the petals take the desired shape.

  • Make a circle out of thick paper or cardboard and glue the petals along its diameter. Choose the radius of the middle, taking into account the size and number of petals.

  • Glue the second row a little closer to the center and staggered relative to the first row.

  • Use a long, narrow strip of yellow to create a fringe. Twist like quilling.

  • Glue the twisted piece so that it does not come apart and fluff up the fringe. Glue the water lilies inside.

  • You can add large green leaves, make them similar to the petals, only rounder.

Do-it-yourself volumetric water lily made of paper

Quite a simple way, and no special materials are needed, everything is at hand.

  • Our water lily will be voluminous not only due to the plump petals, but also due to their two layers. Therefore, it is necessary to cut out two white circles, differing from each other in size, but not much, measure by eye.

  • Fold each circle in half and so on three times.

  • Straighten and make cuts along the folds, reaching 2-4 mm to the center of the circle, depending on the size of the circle.

  • It turned out triangles, their lower corners must be glued from the inside out.
  • Then connect both parts and glue.

  • You can choose any material for the middle. Here in the photo there are rolled balls from a yellow napkin, but if you find something more interesting, it will be even better. Bright yellow beads or shiny glue rhinestones. This is an example.

Do-it-yourself large water lily made of paper

In the origami technique, it seems that you can do anything. Well, flowers are a separate topic altogether. The water lily turns out to be very large, dense, plump - a feast for the eyes!

Step by step scheme:

Cut a sheet of double-sided pink paper into 4 equal rectangles. You need 4 such sheets, respectively, there will be 16 parts.

Fold each in the middle to mark it. Fold each corner to the center:

Bend the sides to the center as well.

Bend each of the 16 pieces up the center fold.

For the leaves, we make the same details, but bend down at the end. And there will be half of them.

Each green part will be superimposed on 2 pink ones.

We align everything to the same length.

It turned out 8 identical elements that need to be collected together and tied in the middle with an elastic band or a piece of wire, thread.

Spread them all to the sides, fluff them up.

Fold the uppermost parts of each element (pink) up towards the center.

You should have the following blank:

Do the same with the second pink details:

Spread the green details:

The finished water lily looks very impressive!

There is a nice detailed video on how to make this wonderful paper origami water lily:

Simple flower

Even a child can cope with this water lily - often in school or kindergarten, they ask a craft at home, such a water lily will help out a lot in such cases.

  • Pink and blue squares with sides of 12 cm, and white - 10.2 yellow circles, 2.5 cm each.

  • All squares must be folded diagonally 3 times. Cut out rounded petals from the resulting triangles - while the blue and white ones need to be sharpened a little.

  • The unfolded petals must be bent inward with scissors.

  • Turn the edges of one circle into a fringe.

  • About 12 identical yellow stripes will be needed:

  • Twist the strips with scissors and glue on a whole circle, pressing on top with a circle with a fringe:

  • Connect all the elements by adding a green leaf at the bottom:

Quilling water lilies

An excellent quilling technique will help to create both an almost flat and rather voluminous composition. You can make your water lily as an applique or as a 3D figurine.

Bulky paper crafts look impressive. Flower products are in great demand. So, a graceful water lily can be an excellent gift, used to decorate a room, or find practical use. You can make a water lily out of paper with your own hands with your children at home, in the garden or at school. The manufacturing process is quite fun. Some options for creating a flower may be of interest not only for beginners, but also for handmade masters.

There are various ways to make a water lily out of paper, differing in the technique of execution, the level of complexity and the type of paper material. Even children will master the simplest models of water lilies. Such classes are very useful for them, because they:

  • develop perseverance and creativity;
  • develop skills in working with scissors, glue, ornamental materials;
  • have a beneficial effect on fine motor skills;
  • contribute to aesthetic education;
  • help to organize the child's leisure time.

Making water lilies can be timed, for example, to March 8. It is not a shame to present such crafts at any exhibition of children's creativity, which are regularly held in educational institutions.

What materials will be needed

Water lilies are made of paper. Anything will do - corrugated, crepe, landscape, color, or printer-friendly. The color doesn't really matter either. Usually these flowers are made white, yellow or pink. But nothing prevents the use of other shades. Crafts with petals of different colors also look interesting.

Instead of paper, you can use cotton fabric, felt, satin ribbons, and other materials. You will need something else to work:

For one of the water lily models, you will also need a piece of yellow foam rubber or a small round magnet.

Flower making workshop

It is better for novice craftsmen to take on the simplest work to perform. It should be borne in mind that, for example, to manipulate crumpled paper requires some skill, and modular origami also requires accuracy, perseverance and takes a lot of time. You should thoroughly prepare to work on the chosen version of a water lily (water lily, lotus). Before starting it, it is recommended to read the instructions, watch the corresponding video lesson, print the necessary diagrams and templates.

Paper water lily

Without making any special efforts, you can make a rather spectacular water lily out of paper with your own hands. Master class on its creation:

The core of the water lily can be designed in different ways. For example, cut a yellow napkin into 2x2 cm squares and roll them into balls. Then 10-15 of these pellets are glued close to each other. They can be replaced with a small magnet. Now it is convenient to store paper clips or other small metal items here. If you glue a rounded piece of foam rubber inside the flower, you will get an original pincushion.

Corrugated lotus

For work, you need to take crumpled paper of a delicate shade (pink, blue, peach) and a little yellow, as well as a green sheet and a small piece of light cardboard. Sequencing:

In the same way, a flower is made from a Whatman paper or an album sheet. Those who do not want to mess around with a pile of individual petals may like another version of the water lily - made of colored paper. Here, each of the three tiers of the flower is solid and cut according to a template. The lower, largest, has 7 petals, the middle, slightly smaller in diameter - 6, and the upper (small) - only 5. The petals of the outer and middle tier need to be twisted slightly using a pencil or scissors. The workpieces are glued in the center to each other. After that, it remains only to glue the core in a contrasting color. The craft is ready.

If you make the flower single-tier, then even a preschooler can handle such work.

Simple origami

The ancient Chinese art of paper folding allows you to create real masterpieces. The origami technique requires precision and patience. You also need to have a visual diagram on hand. In some cases, it is necessary to watch the video lesson many times and even practice in order before something starts to work out.

To make a relatively simple water lily (lotus) using the origami technique, you need a fairly thin but strong square paper. Approximate dimensions - 25x25 cm. It is not difficult to fold the sheet correctly:

Usually problems arise in the subsequent stages, when it is necessary to unfold the paper, creating petals. After the last bending, the craft is turned over. There are four bulging corners that look like pockets. One of them needs to be pulled up and turned out to the back (front) side of the craft. You will get a petal-boat. To do this, it is more convenient to partially unfold the top layer, forming a petal, and then return the excess details to their place. Thus, all 4 corners are unfolded.

The product is again turned upside down (the finished petals will be at the bottom). A new layer of corners is revealed there. There are also four of them. Each must be bent outward and turned out onto the front side. This is much easier to do than the previous step. You get 4 triangular petals. There are still four corner pockets on the reverse side. Their free ends should be bent outward. The flower is ready.

You can fold another one of the same, but smaller in size, and place it in the middle of the first. This will make the craft even more beautiful.

Modular technology

You can also make a water lily from modules. They are prepared in advance from double-sided colored paper. Green ones will go to the leaves, and, for example, pink and white ones - to the flower calyx. The modules are simply inserted into one another, but if desired, the structure can be fastened with glue.

The work begins with the assembly of foliage. Paper parts are laid out in rows. The first consists of two modules, the second - of three, and so on, until there are 7 elements in the row. Further assembly proceeds in decreasing order: in each subsequent row there will be one module less than in the previous one. The latter consists of a single module. The leaf is ready. In total, you need to build five such leaves. Further, they are all united into a single platform on which the flower will rest. The sheets are fastened to each other with additional green modules.

Now you can start creating a flower. The work is done in the same way, but the scheme is slightly different. The first row consists of two modular blanks, and in the next row their number increases by one element, etc. When there are five modules in a row, you need to gradually, row by row, reduce their number to one.

The first petal is complete. There are five more to do. They all combine into one whole. White modules are used to hold the two petals together. They will go like a wedge. First, the petals are connected with one white element. In the next row there will be two, then three, then four. It takes 10 white modules to combine two adjacent pink petals.

The resulting white-pink design must be turned out with the back side and slightly tweaked, giving it the shape of a flower cup. Its base is greased with glue and placed on the green platform assembled earlier. If desired, you can strengthen the finished product, for this it should be treated with diluted PVA glue.

Felt water lily

A beautiful flower can be made from felt. For the product, you will need white and pink material, as well as scissors, a needle and thread, and glue. Work order:

A ready-made felt water lily can be fixed on a hair clip, used as a brooch or a non-removable decorative element when decorating clothes, handbags, hats.

There are a lot of options for making water lilies with your own hands. Everyone can find something suitable for themselves. The process of creating flowers is not always easy, but it is addictive. Both an adult and a child will like this type of needlework, and the result will be pleasing to the eye for a long time.
