Sculpture park in South Korea. Love Park in Korea - unusual parks in the world

Love art Park Pattaya is a park with an erotic and humorous theme dedicated to the relationship between a man and a woman. It opened not very long ago, several years ago. There are ponds, fountains, paths, lawns, benches and a lot (they say that one and a half hundred) sculptures and sculptural groups. From huge to very small. Strictly not for the Puritans.

Installations and sculptures in the park belong to different authors. The main inspirer and leader of this project is an architect from South Korea. There are also similar parks with erotic figures.

The figures are scattered across the lawns, along the paths and by the fountains. Some look quite frank, for the 18+ category, while others are just funny and funny.

While I was walking there, none of the visitors were there. The sculptures are dilapidated in places, some of the fountains did not work, so the place, apparently, is not very popular. And for such an attraction, the ticket price is too high! In my opinion, it makes sense to go there only if there is absolutely nothing to do. The area of the erotic park is quite large, but the exhibits are quite rare, the space is open and not very comfortable. There is little greenery and practically no shade, it is hot at noon, which is just hell.

Yes, some of the figures are quite entertaining, but there are not many of them, and it is easier to look at the photos on the Internet. I expected more, to be honest, more fantasy. It seems to me that there it was possible to turn around like that ... Immediately I remember: the theme is different, but there the author had a really stormy fantasy.

And this ... What have I seen now ?!

When I left, there was some disappointment. Probably, if it were a free square, it’s not a question, but so ... Perhaps it will be closed altogether, judging by some desolation, but this is only an assumption.

Of course, the Puritans don't need to come here, they will spit. I am interested in such things, otherwise I myself am not very creative with creativity, at least to see what others think of. But some figures, mmm, I want to unsee :)

Information to visit

The entrance ticket costs 500 baht.

Opening hours: from 10 to 19 hours; although the prospectus says that the park is open until 10 pm. Apparently in dark time day is completely boring.

How to get there

The park is located quite far out of town, south of Pattaya. On foot or on public transport there is no way to get there. Either take a taxi or ride your own car / moto transport, if you have one.

If you are driving along Sukhumvit towards Sattahip, after the Ocean Marina Yacht Club, which will be on the right of the road, turn left onto Soi 13 Najomtien and road 1063, which also leads towards Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club. After moving through railroad at the crossroads in front of Mini Big Sea you can turn left to the Wat Thung Lahan temple, after passing it a little forward, on the left you can see the Art Park parking lot.

Is one of the states of our world with the highest level technology development. It is comfortable to do business here and there is a lot to learn, not to mention endless shopping in stores and markets. But, as in any tourist country, here you can find the very zest that will certainly diversify your vacation. Experienced tourists recommend visiting the Love Land Erotic Sculpture Park.

Unusual park

Park "Land of Love" is not just one of the green areas for - it is a fantasy park of erotic sculpture in the open air, the existence of which you will never forget. Geographically unusual composition is located on, therefore in South Korea this meeting is often called the Park of Love or Jeju Love Land.

The choice of the location of such an exotic park is determined historically. Jeju Island after the end of the Korean War became the main venue for honeymoon and the first closeness of so many newlywed couples. And since now many marriages in South Korea are concluded under an agreement between the parents of the future bride and groom, the island works great amount establishments that create an atmosphere for sexuality education and education.

It took about 2 years to create the sculptures, Grand opening park took place on November 16, 2004. The sculptors were recent graduates of Seoul Hongik University. Having visited an unusual Love Park in South Korea, you can bring naughty photos with your participation. Over the years, looking at them will be even more interesting and fun.

What is interesting about the Park of Love?

Love Land on the Jeju Island is not unique, but carries common theme: sexuality in any of its manifestations, both in women and in men. Along the paths and alleys of the park, there are 140 thematic sculptures: nude people in various sexual positions, male and female genitals and very curious installations on the topic of sex. Also in the park, in good weather, you can watch relevant educational films.

A visit to the Love Land erotic sculpture park is not just entertainment. The masters tried to urge the viewer to look at themselves from the outside and admire the sculptures in order to achieve inner harmony... An artificial reservoir has been created here, flower beds have been laid out, hedges and avenues have been planted.

A quick tour of the park takes a little more than an hour, but it should be noted that the administration of the erotic architectural complex has a changing exhibition. On the territory of the park there are shops for "goods for adults", as well as a museum "Sex and Health". The park's café serves erotically decorated meals.

Jeju Island is the most famous island in Korea, and perhaps not only in Korea. It is often and rightfully called the "Pearl of Korea" or "Korean Hawaii" because of its unique nature, mild subtropical climate, magnificent beaches, luxury hotels and numerous museums. The island changes every year. This became especially noticeable in last years when the island gained a reputation as the "most erotic island" in Korea after opening several museums for "Sex and Health" (as they are officially called), sex shops, and the Love Land erotic sculpture park. It is surprising that in relatively conservative South Korea one can see such explicit erotic fantasies embodied in statues, photographs, paintings, and especially in sculptures. I was not surprised by this in the museums of Paris and Amsterdam, but for Puritan Korea it seemed to me not typical and unnatural. If on the beaches korean girls are embarrassed to undress to a swimsuit, and swim in dresses and jeans, if they even wear summer heat in three T-shirts, so that no one would guess what is hidden under them, then the topic of sex is free in the West, they remain taboo.
Love Land Park in Jeju was opened in 2004. To date, more than 150 immodest sculptures have been collected here, and this collection, illustrating carnal pleasures, is constantly being updated and replenished. Here are examples of cult erotic art from all over the world - from Greece, Japan, Oceania, Africa. There are also extremely talented works created by local craftsmen, and not only young, but also very famous Korean sculptors. The sculptures are made with a great sense of humor - eroticism and sex should not be annoying, and the whole park creates good positive mood... In addition, in the cinemas of "Land of Love" show erotic films, the Museum of Erotica regularly hosts exhibitions of erotic art, and in sex shops you can buy various products of the world sex industry. According to the menu, exciting dishes are served in restaurants and cafes in the park, although we did not feel it.
Unsurprisingly, Jeju Park quickly became one of the most famous and popular Asian sex museums. Every year it attracts the attention of tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world, thirsting for romantic adventures, and traditionally newlyweds come here to spend their honeymoon in an atmosphere of sexual freedom.
If you take an excursion into history, then erotic art is present in the cultures of all times and civilizations. In the culture of every nation, there were works that stimulated, ignited and supported sexual sensitivity. Of course, the features of erotic art of any era depend on sexual, religious, philosophical and artistic culture society. And it is true for any era that erotic art has two main themes: the first is beauty, charm, sex appeal a person as an object erotic feelings, the second is sexual relations people who can be embodied in romantic, comedic, naturalistic and other aspects. The nature of the image depends on the skill of the artist, the level of his culture, as well as on the norms of decency existing in society, including the rules Everyday life and norms of ritual behavior, rules of body image and sexual relations.
The most famous erotic sculptural compositions in the world are recognized sculptural works in Hindu temples in India. The best examples were created in the north of India between the 9th and 13th centuries A.D., and in the south between the 6th and 17th centuries A.D. The sculptures represent all conceivable forms of sexual activity: various positions of sexual intercourse, oral sex, masturbation, rape, and more.
It seems to me that all people can be roughly divided into two categories. The first category includes those who believe that there is never enough sex, which is natural, it is not shameful, they have a sense of humor, and they admit that eroticism in stone is a real art! The second category includes all those who do not think so. If you consider yourself to be in the second category, and you will be shocked by individual exhibits or sculptures, then you can not look further or read, so as not to spoil the nervous system.
And for those who wish, let's now make a small photo tour of "Love Land". I tried to select the most decent from all indecent, to show Korean humor and the reaction of Koreans to what they saw.

Entrance to "Love Land". The sign says "Welcome!"

And this photo needs explanations. The fact is that a motor is hidden under the car, which smoothly rocks the car, and there are speakers in the bushes, from which sounds are heard: "Oh, yes ...". The car windows are tinted, but Korean curiosity prevails.

The instructions say "Rotate slowly", but the Korean woman is clearly carried away or remembered her youth!

And this is most likely a Korean patent for women. There is a long pile on the wheel rim. When a girl pedals, she tickles her nerves and more!

Outdoor urinal is very popular, especially among Korean women

Another Korean invention. Original handles on the doors of the women's toilet. Women are just delighted with such happiness! (Try to guess for yourself what is on the doors of the men's room)

Illustration for the book "Kamasutra". The picture is called "Page 147" Can you imagine what wide field activity has opened up for Korean artists if they want to illustrate all 729 love positions of the Kama Sutra! The Bible teaches to love one's neighbor, and the "Kamasutra" explains exactly how. Incidentally, for reference: the position of the "woman on top" in ancient Russia equated to sodomy.

Love frozen in stone.
