Citrus fragrances for women. Floral perfume for women. Video - review of new perfumes

Perfume is a way to attract attention to yourself. Light and delicate, sweet or fresh, spicy or floral scent of perfume will warn you about your appearance, and its trail will not let you forget about you after leaving.

Smells are most strongly associated with the emotional sphere. They improve state of mind, create a special mood, and the associations caused by them are forever fixed in the mind. Therefore, if you want to feel in a new way, to feel beautiful and self-confident, to be remembered by a man for a long time, learn to choose and use complex compositions correctly.

In our article we will talk about fragrant guides to the world of plants, about what they are, how to choose them, what options can be found on sale.

Floral perfume for women

This is one of the most common and demanded types of products. Delicate, soft, sweetish scents of flora: familiar (rose, lily of the valley, violet, jasmine, lilac and others) and exotic (orchids, orange tree, strelitzia) - are combined in compositions that can complement the image of any woman.

Any perfume consists of three notes:

  • Top or head. They are made up of elements that evaporate within the first 15 minutes. We feel them when applied.
  • Medium or heart. They appear 15-20 minutes after application and sound from 2 to 5 hours, while medium volatility essential substances evaporate.
  • Bottom or base. These components last the longest - up to 10-15 hours. They remain on hair and clothing after the lighter components are gone. They are responsible for the sillage and aftertaste left by the perfume.

Most of the fragrances we will talk about are sensual and vibrant top and middle notes. Perfumes with the scent of flowers as a base are much less common. But there are a lot of variations with other subgroups. You can easily find combinations with:

  • fruit;
  • "Green";
  • chypre;
  • powdery;
  • woody;
  • oriental (oriental);
  • leather;
  • amber;
  • fougere families.

Such a variety of compositions allows you to choose the right option for any occasion. Even common ingredients like rose and jasmine will feel completely different next to other ingredients. Among the floral perfumes, you will find scents that will suit both young girls and more mature women. And also classic combinations, the relevance of which is not lost over time.

Perfume for girls: the best floral perfumes

Girls under 25 usually choose one scent and mostly use it only. At this age, they still often do not distinguish whether this or that option suits them or they just like it. And also do not highlight samples intended for evening, formal or informal events.

Fresh and sweet, inviting and intriguing, notes emphasize energy, lightness and youth. Often, young women like the "tasty" smells associated with their favorite delicacies or famous cocktails.

  • from Versace. The very charm of summer and sun. The brightness of orange blossom is softened by notes of pear, turning into a combination of delicate floral tones: freesia, water lily, mimosa. The composition leaves behind a warm sillage of woody base oils.

  • by Yves Saint laurent... A cute example of "tasty" perfume. The freshness of fruits and berries is combined with the delicate sweetness of white freesia, rose and lily of the valley.

  • by Kilian Splash. When opened, this bouquet will completely change your impression of yourself. The soft notes of peach, bergamot, mandarin and cinnamon transform into the sensuality of jasmine and rose, leaving behind a trail of woody tones of sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver.

  • from L`Artisan Parfumeur. This fresh scent will emphasize the naturalness and charm of youth. It combines the subtle sophistication of jasmine, the sweetness of tuberose, the invigorating astringency of orange and lime.

Popular floral perfumes and fragrances for women

Over time, tastes and requirements for perfume change. Closer to 30, ladies gain confidence and are already well aware of their preferences. They are gradually moving away from fruity, citrusy and “tasty” options, making tart and complex nuances a part of their style. They tend to choose sensual scents and bitter notes. Compositions designed for this category of buyers are distinguished by a special composition.

  • by Christian Dior. This controversial bouquet will appeal to strong and self-confident women. It combines soft notes of fruits and berries with the tenderness of violets and the coolness of freesia, lily of the valley and magnolia. And the tones of musk add sexuality to the composition and make this composition an excellent choice for publication.

  • from Guerlain. A perfect example of a floral-chypre combination. A sophisticated and feminine perfume combines the sweet smells of Bulgarian roses with the gentle coolness of peonies, lilies of the valley and freesias, complementing them with the spice of white musk and patchouli.

  • by Gucci. Delicate and refined composition. In it, the freshness and coolness of citrus fruits, peony and rose are set off by the velvety sweetness of osmanthus. The bottom notes are patchouli and sandalwood.

  • ... Intense and sensual, it combines woody and musky tones. Suitable for women who are not afraid to draw attention to themselves. Spicy and tart notes are softened by the softness of a rose.

Classic women's floral perfumes and fragrances are the best choice at all times

Manufacturers annually release dozens of new compositions. But there are scents that continue to be in demand, even with a long history behind. Their names are known even to people of distant famous brands.

  • from Chanel. This is the first aldehyde perfume. They are not tied to any one component. The whole variety of notes is revealed only when interacting with human body... Top notes are lemon, bergamot, orange blossom, ylang-ylang. Heart tones are formed from a combination of iris, lily of the valley, jasmine. The base is composed of musky, woody, “green” scents, softened by vanilla tenderness.

  • from Nina ricci... A sweetish and intoxicating cloud. The tenderness of rose, violet, iris and jasmine is softened by spices, fruity, musky and woody notes.

  • from Guerlain. Oriental perfume with vegetable shades. This spicy composition it unfolds gradually: it starts with sharp citrus notes, gradually adds a deep and sensual "sound" of iris, jasmine, vetiver, rose, leaves behind a woody-musky trail.

Rating of flower fragrances for women from a man's point of view

The smell acts directly on the subconscious. He can radically change the impression of a woman, and with him the nature of the relationship. For some, how a partner smells is more important than how he looks. That is why a bizarre train is one of the most important ways to be remembered by a man. But not everything that is pleasant and pleasant to women causes a similar reaction in their strong half.

Many men like musk, it enhances sexual attraction... And cinnamon and vanilla create a sense of coziness and help build affection. Some people like sweet fruity aromas. Some prefer woody forest notes, others prefer the cool freshness of the sea.

Men love quality perfumes with natural scents. The perfume should be persistent, not cloying. You need to apply it in moderation.

As a child, I was very fond of tea with bergamot. But the fact that bergamot is citrus, and not an herb like mint or thyme, I, to my shame, learned when I got carried away with perfumery. Bergamot, whose golden yellow thick skin is rich in essential oils, is one of the most frequent components of citrus aromas. He is often accompanied by lemon, tangerine and red grapefruit. Citrus is arguably one of the oldest perfume ingredients, which is not surprising given the many amazing properties of their essential oils, from antiseptic to psychotherapeutic.

V pure form citrus notes are rarely used. As a rule, they are "assigned" to play the top notes, assigning floral, woody or spicy notes to the role of heart and base. In such aromas, citruses are the first thing that our nose hears (and often this is not completely determined correct impression from the scent in general). It is better to take your time to get acquainted with citrus aromas (most often we are talking about floral-citrus, fruity-citrus or spicy-citruos). Let the scent live on your skin before you announce your verdict. The first impression of most scents is wrong. For citrus aromas, this rule is doubly true.

Speaking of errors of perception. Nowadays, aromas with citrus notes are often undeservedly bypassed, considering them too "simple" or even associating with means household chemicals... Believe me, expensive citrus aromas have nothing to do with the smells of chemical lemon. I propose to work together to fight stereotypes using the right examples.

Orange Mood: Eau de Mandarine Ambree, Hermes

What do you associate tangerines with? I bet happy holiday. New Year, gifts under the tree, and a scattering of fresh tangerines on the table. Oh, how fresh crusts smell! The very mischievous Eau de Mandarine Ambree from Hermes evokes about the same associations. A bully scent - in the first chord it sounds like you ate tangerines and, as in childhood, accidentally smeared it with juice. However, there is no need to wait for some kind of disclosure. The scent is conventionally simple: Hermes perfumers, as always, are not ready to reveal all the secrets of the olfactory pyramid of the scent, declaring only three leading components - mandarin, passionfruit and amber. But in this simplicity lies its non-triviality. If you want a holiday - get it and sign it.

By the way, Eau de Mandarine Ambree is one of five such "mono" fragrances released in cologne concentration. And this is part of the concept of the Les Parfums Nouvelles family: to give the opportunity to concentrate on a specific moment. "Moment" is the key word. Eau de Mandarine Ambree doesn’t have to wait for the longevity of the perfume. The scent of tangerines will not haunt you all day. That is why he is beautiful. Bright, juicy, hooligan, but at the same time unobtrusive. In the end, if you want to extend the charm of the holiday, you can make a new "pshik".

Mandarin, passionfruit, amber.

For whom: for her (and a little for him)

Peonies and Citruses: Eau Florale, Victorinox Swiss Army

The rose has thorns, and the Swiss brand Victorinox, famous for its folding (and not only) knives, has a perfume line, which this year, if we are not mistaken, has replenished with its 16th fragrance. Eau Florale is, of course, a celebration of the soul, and the young one (and this is not about age, but about inner self-awareness). A tangerine-currant burst of emotions (with an admixture of pink grapefruit), mixing with bright peonies, jasmine and violet flowers - it's hard to say which is more in this perfume ─ flowers or citruses. All of these fresh, sparkling notes end up beautifully on a sensual base of cedarwood, white musk and cashmeran. It opens up on the skin very individually, but it is definitely worthy of at least a "test" (as aromaholics like to say).

The composition includes aromatic notes mandarin, black currant, peach, pink grapefruit, peony, jasmine, violet, cashmeran, cedar, white musk.

For whom: for her

Lemons and Lilies: Agua de Loewe Ella, Loewe

Loewe in 2009 created a perfume ode to flowers and green citrus. Lemon, bergamot and kumquat are clearly audible in it. But they sound soft, even delicate, for which, of course, we should thank the water and garden lilies. Delicate, transparent, fresh floral-citrus flair. Romantic and unobtrusive, the scent will perfectly fit into any dress code.

The composition includes aromatic notes kumquat, lemon, bergamot, water lily, rose petals, passion flower, bourbon pepper, Moroccan cedar, musk and sandalwood from Mysore (India).

For whom: for her

Jasmine in Lemon Peel: Alien Eau Sublime, Mugler

One of the most beautiful "newcomers" of Thierry Mugler's perfume line. The signature "jasmine" base, which is in the entire Alien line, here sounds against the background of citruses: lemon, orange and tangerine. The fragrance has a frankly citrus beginning, which is confusing, but the next minute the luxurious white flowers of Arabian jasmine are revealed on the skin in the sweet-sour haze of lemon zest with vanilla.

The composition includes aromatic notes lemon, arabic jasmine, orange, tangerine, galbanum, heliotrope, tare, cherry blossom, orange blossom, cashmeran, vetiver, amber and vanilla.

For whom: for her

Orange, Period: Totem Orange, Kenzo

Orange. Cheeky, real, juicy red citrus. An uplifting fragrance that evokes persistent associations with the main holiday of the year (even despite the absence of mandarin notes in the pyramid). Kenzo has always succeeded in perfume provocations. This fragrance is no exception. It is persistently addictive: the hand itself reaches for the bottle whenever it is cloudy outside and the soul asks for a portion of positive.

The composition includes aromatic notes bitter orange, lemon, lemon blossom, fig tree, peach, vetiver, white cedar and cocoa.

For whom: for her and for him

He's not there, but he is: Pomelo Fizz, Comptoir Sud Pacifique

To (not) believe what was written: inside the bottle with an orange sticker, the juicy pulp of the pomelo really hides, even if completely different notes are responsible for this olfactory illusion. An amazing combination of grapefruit and black currant gives full sensation that somewhere nearby someone was secretly eating the sweet pomelo fruit. 100% citrus, joyful perfume, new in 2017, which you should definitely get to know better.

The composition includes aromatic notes bergamot, grapefruit, black currant, tangerine, orange blossom, artemisia, musk, myrrh and amber.

For whom: for her and for him

Tactful Mandarin: Mandarine, Il Profvmo

Degree mandarin, unobtrusive, not trailing, slimy to the skin, mixed with woody notes. Not sweet, not bitter. Such a very sedate perfume. Unisex in its purest form - elegantly sounds on a woman, elegantly on a man. And he also - great option for experiments on layering, where he will be assigned the role of a base.

The composition includes aromatic notes tangerine, orange blossom, lychee, heliotrope, calicantha, sweet mint and satin cedar.

For whom: for her and for him

Bergamot tea: Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria, Guerlain

Bright sonorous bergamot, green tea with lemon and ginger, fresh and spicy at the same time (due to all the combination of notes of ginger and citrus). Perhaps a little more masculine than stated ("unisex" is a relative term), a little more brutal than other citrus fragrances in our collection. Perhaps you should start your acquaintance with this 2017 new product from Guerlain, inhaling the scent from the skin of your beloved man.

The composition includes aromatic notes Calabrian bergamot, petitgrain, cardamom, ginger, white musk.

For whom: for her and for him

The topic of our article is the citrus aromas of women's perfume. The perfumes that we will tell you about are designed to create summer and joy in any circumstance! They usually contain lemon, grapefruit, orange, lime, bergamot and tangerine. Of course, not together: each eau de toilette consists of a unique mix of various components. They usually look for a summer companion in fresh sour smells: they adorn a girl delightfully during a trip to the sea. And sometimes people just like citrus perfume. But our task is not to find out the reasons. In this article, we have collected the best representatives of the perfumery market. They all have their own history, unique character and interesting composition. Be careful: one of them will definitely take pride of place on your cosmetic table.

Citrus perfume: women's fragrances

It's time to move from words and ephemeral descriptions to specifics. The editors of our site have selected especially for you the best eau de parfum, in which you will surely feel the notes of orange, grapefruit and other fruits.

Eau d "Hadrien, Annick Goutal

Love! This is what permeates every drop of the contents of this delicate minimalist bottle. Its creator was so inspired after reading a famous French novel that she decided to dress her feelings in such interesting shape... This perfume is a little romantic adventure. Nobody knows how it will end, but it doesn't matter: everything that happens in the present moment remains the main thing. It is definitely a paired product that will suit both sexes.

Eau de Toilette with a fresh citrus scent for women and men from the Gutal brand seems to have absorbed all existing sweet and sour accords. The compositional pyramid consists of two types of lemon, tangerine, grapefruit and citron. A riot of colors is diluted with the oils of ylang-ylang, cypress and aldehydes. "Eau d" Hadrien has only one drawback: insignificant indicators of persistence and sillage, but it seems that this is how the elusive summer scent should be!

Light Blue, Dolce & Gabbana

Probably, almost everyone saw a light blue bottle in a box with a velvet finish on the shelves. perfume shops... It is with such trifles as design that the history of the legendary "Light Blue" begins. This is a perfume for those who value comfort and beauty in everything. Luxurious, complimentary and very subtle scent! It carries in itself the sea and summer serenity, which do not scream and rush at once with all their madness, no: on the contrary, they very gently revive pleasant memories, refresh and inspire.

This citrus-scented perfume for women can last up to six hours on the skin, leaving a sillage within arm's length. Sicilian lemon, bell, green apple and white cedar are felt first. A little later, pink, bamboo and jasmine accords are revealed. The base is amber and musk.

I Love Love, Moschino

The perfumers of the Moschino fashion house managed to create something kind, light and childishly naive. The perfume resembles carefree sunny days when all business is happily put aside, and your feet go to the beach by themselves! Sweet cocktails, pleasant conversations, activities on the sand and in the pond ... Some perfumers compare this fragrance with "Light Blue". This is not entirely fair. Dolce Gabbana's creation is mentally transferred to a rich resort, somewhere on the islands or to the ocean. "I Love Love" carries the spirit of summer festivals and wild parties.

Women's perfume with a citrus scent is primarily composed of sour notes. They are made up of red berries, orange, lemon and grapefruit. On the lower tiers of the pyramid there are reeds, sugar cane, wood components and other oils, merging into one harmonious symphony. Using them, you will receive middle train and preservation of the aroma for 3-6 hours.

Clinique Happy for women

In 1998, a novelty from Clinics was presented to the world - happiness enclosed in glass. What did the creators themselves put into this concept? According to the annotation, "Happy" is intended to create good mood... It can be compared to a warm and calm morning. You got up without an alarm clock, got a good night's sleep, made a cup of tea and went out onto the balcony. Birds singing, fresh fresh air and a feeling of complete harmony with the world. Here it is: simple human joy!

Almost all citruses that exist in the perfumery industry thunder with the first accords: from lemon essence to bloody grapefruit. Among them, plum notes, mimosa, amber, orchid, freesia and so on, hover and intertwine. The perfume opens up perfectly in spring or summer time of the year in the afternoon.

n Red, Armand Basi

Women's perfume with a citrus scent and exquisite base woody accords will suit girls who are confident in themselves. The owners of "Red" look to the future with enthusiasm and always believe in the best. The perfume will remind you of the awakening of nature. Apply a couple of drops on your wrist, close your eyes, and you will see a delightful picture of blooming lily of the valley fields, you will hear birds singing and fully feel the spring. This product from Armani can be succinctly described in three words: freshness, brightness and playfulness.

Aqua Allegoria Mandarine-Basilic

To the already familiar citrus fruits, slightly non-standard components are added to the composition: violet leaf, black currant, cardamom, rosewood ... There are many more notes that are worth recognizing them yourself.

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune and Aqua Allegoria Mandarine-Basilic, Guerlain

In 1999 Guerlain presented "Allegory". She was very much like a sweet candy: grapefruit, bergamot, petitgrain, neroli, vanilla and patchouli gave such a childish association. Despite the excellent ratings and sales, the management decided to upgrade! So, in 2007, perfumers were able to get their collection "Mandarin with basil". This is a more complex scent: it contains ivy, green tea, peony, clementine, chamomile, sandalwood and peony. Each of the perfumes has its own fans. However, despite all the differences, they have a common concept in common: perfumers were able to create a wonderful summer fresh!

Les escales de dior

If someone decided to award certain perfumes with the status of the most "resort" ones, suitable for any journey, then this exquisite Diorov glass would definitely get the title! Such eau de toilette is delicious for waking up from hibernation or walking along the embankments somewhere very far away. Almonds, juniper, lemon, bergamot, galbanum and cypress add a special magic to the whole composition. Many people point out that "Escales" is love at first sight.

Palermo, Byredo

Here the concentration of sour literally goes off scale! Everything is very strict and elegant: no indulgences in the form of sweet notes. The composition is diluted only with rose, ambrette and musk. This makes this perfume with citrus notes for women and men at the same time: "Palermo" is sure to appeal to lovers of unisex. Of the minuses: it adheres too poorly to the skin and creates a weak sillage.

Arancia Di Capri, Acqua di Parma

A fougere perfume with a lot of lemon accords. Moreover, it is not as simple as it seems at first. After some time, explosive freshness smoothly flows into sweet musky iris. "Arkanika" is suitable for those who are delighted with invigorating and multifaceted aromas. By the way, it will wonderfully reveal itself on both sexes. The name suggests that the perfumers were inspired by the delightful island of Capri. Remember this and use the contents of the bottle on summer days.

Fleurs D "oranger, Serge Lutens

Enchanting, poetic and flowing perfume. They will be able to elevate you above everything ordinary and move you to some special world. This is the magic of all products from Serge Luten, and there is no escape from it. The charm of this fashion house's perfume attracts many buyers: maybe they will hook you too? Behind the glass "D" oranger is a mixture of citrus, nutmeg, rose oil, hibiscus, cumin and Indian tuberose. Eau de toilette has excellent durability and, at the same time, does not fill the entire space: a plume forms within a radius of a meter.

Versace Versense, Versace

Natural, free, sensual and energetic perfume with a hint of unisex. They are unlikely to suit those who are looking for something simpler and sweeter. "Versens" is chosen by people who are unique in their worldview. On the upper floors, compositions of bright citruses are mixed with figs and pears. Floral accords of lily, narcissus and jasmine adjoin them. The composition ends with a bold dance of sandalwood, cedar, olive wood and musk.

O De L Orangerie, Lancôme

This perfumery very harmoniously combines a floral and citrus symphony, and fixes everything with a woody and benzoin bitterness. The clear and light scent seems to declare: well-groomed woman should smell like that! Lancom has created a product that will definitely drive many men crazy. It is best used in daytime in spring and summer.

Pure White Linen Light Breeze EDP, Estee Lauder

Many owners of a glass from "Este Lauder" unanimously declare that this is a cheerful, sexy and not annoying scent. It contains orange, white grapefruit, kumquat, tea leaves, rose, linden, osmanthus, honey, woody accords. From the components, you can easily guess that the perfume will gradually demonstrate its most diverse facets. They have medium durability and sillage, which is ideal for a holiday in hot countries.

Eau du Soir, Sisley

The classics of the perfume market do not become obsolete to this day. This is a complimentary, feminine, noble and simply charming eau de toilette. There is no flashy freshness in it: it makes itself felt very subtly and unobtrusively. Big flower bouquet heart notes add tenderness and softness to tangerine with grapefruit. And patchouli with pepper gives the owner a mysterious image that any man wants to approach at least not for a long time.

Christophe Servasel

To begin with, we decided to contact one of the founders of the Atelier Cologne brand - Christophe Servasel, main passion which are colognes with citrus notes, and dispel or confirm with its help several perfume myths.

There is an opinion that citrus aromas invigorate. Is it really so? And if so, is there scientific explanation- or does everything happen at the level of emotional perception?

Citrus notes do have a tonic effect. This property was actively used even before the appearance of perfumes. The effect here is rather psychosomatic, that is, emotional arousal leads to an increase in physical tone. And in terms of the degree of influence on our feelings and emotions, there is really little that can be compared with citrus!

Citrus compositions are considered to be quite fleeting. Is it possible to increase their durability, for example, by using certain components?

Of course, the notes that are used in the composition affect the longevity. For example, patchouli and moss are excellent fixers. But this influence should not be exaggerated. Much more important here is how the scent will interact with your skin type. At the same time, it is easy to increase the durability of your favorite, but "fleeting" scent - just use it together with cream, milk or shower gel from the same line.

What "additions" to citrus notes seem to you to be the most successful and, conversely, undesirable? For example, can woody accords make a citrus composition too heavy, and berry ones add excessive sweetness?

I believe that citrus notes can be combined with absolutely anything. It's just that not everyone knows how to do it. It is impossible to make citruses heavier - but it is easy to "overshadow" them so that it will be unrealistic to recognize them.

Do you think it is appropriate to wear citrus aromas all year round - both in summer heat and in severe Russian frosts? Is there such a thing as seasonality for you at all?

Sylvie and I (Christoph's wife and co-founder of the brand. - HB) never change citrus notes - regardless of the season, time of day and weather outside the window. All Atelier Cologne fragrances start with them, but the final product is completely different: we have fun, literally screaming about hot summer compositions, such as Cedrat Enivrant and Orange Sanguine, with an emphasis on fruity and floral accords. And there are absolutely autumn ones - and even those that will warm winter evenings: for example, Bois Blonds and Ambre Nue with traditional warm notes - amber, suede, wood.

You travel a lot. Didn't notice the inhabitants of which countries have a special love for citrus aromas?

In Europe, they traditionally love colognes and citrus compositions. But in the USA and Russia, we are faced with the fact that they are perceived as purely masculine or exclusively morning fragrances. But we are trying to prove by our example that this is a fundamentally wrong idea. Citrus perfumes can be both persistent and deep, and most importantly - universal: for any season, time of day and gender!

It is best to be convinced of the validity of Christoph's statements by experience. Our guide to the best citrus fragrances will help you identify your favorites in minutes.

A real antidepressant is an explosive cocktail of red and bitter orange, garnished with notes of jasmine and geranium and seasoned with tonka beans and amber. We must pay tribute to its creators - they found a way to combine citrus notes of a classic cologne with the brightest and richest components, more traditional for eau de parfum, and as a result they got an incredibly light and at the same time persistent composition on the border of two perfume "genres".

The fact that England is hardly associated with orange groves in any way does not limit creative imagination British perfumers. So, in the collection of the brand Boadicea the Victorious, we found a fragrance with a non-trivial citrus sound. Perfumer John Stephen, for whose creations Elizabeth II herself has a weakness, took bergamot, lemon and bitter orange as a basis, added a couple of "closest relatives" to them - pink grapefruit and lime, mixed with white musk and refreshed with vetiver. The last component brings a herbaceous, slightly woody sound, which makes this fragrance attractive to both girls and men.

Another variation on a given theme in English style- and again from a brand whose creations have not been overlooked by the royals. At the heart of this fragrance is a kind of three-voiced, where floral, citrus and woody-musky parts sound harmoniously. Well, the list of "performers" includes jasmine and lily of the valley, lemon, tangerine and bergamot, sandalwood, musk and oakmoss. Eau de cologne (namely, in such a concentration the aroma is presented) will appeal to girls who prefer rich citrus compositions to light citrus compositions, and to men for whom the phrase "made in Britain" is not just empty words.

Leisurely cycling around the island of Formentera was not in vain for Francis Kurkdjian: the bright colors of the coast and the heady sea breeze inspired the perfumer to create this composition. The name of the fragrance was pretentious and Latin (Aqua Vitae is translated from the language of Virgil as "Water of life"), and the olfactory pyramid - with a characteristic Italian accent (even though Formentera itself is part of Spain). The centerpiece is Calabrian lemon and Sicilian tangerine, set off by warm vanilla and woody notes.

Arancia di Capri, Acqua di Parma

It is no surprise that the fragrance dedicated to the Italian island of Capri is almost 100% citrus, namely orange, tangerine and lemon. The trio is spiced up by cardamom, softness by caramel, and sensuality by musk.

Fleur d'Oranger, Evody

It is easy to guess what this fragrance is from the name: the role of the key component was given to orange blossom - the flower of the orange tree. However, before us is not a theater of one actor, but a whole orchestra - the part of the soloist was harmoniously complemented by bergamot, jasmine, musk and white wood. Together they perform a melody that will be a great soundtrack for the latter summer days and will remind you of them in the cold season.

Caligna, L'Artisan Parfumeur

If you have dreamed of visiting Provence for a long time, do not rush to book a ticket for the next flight - you can travel to one of the most picturesque French regions with the help of the new fragrance L'Artisan Parfumeur, called Caligna ("to look after", "to flirt" in the Provencal dialect). The composition really flirts - or rather even seduces us with accords of Grasse sage, pine needles, figs, jasmine jam and tangerine leaves. The latter, dissolving in a floral-woody cloud, changed the vigorous sound habitual for citrus fruits to a subtle and delicate one. As a result, the olfactory fantasy of perfumer Dora Bagrish-Arnault, who imagined a sultry summer day against the backdrop of Provencal landscapes, turned out to be light and relaxed - as befits a "southern" scent.

Caudalie founder Matilda Toma knows firsthand what vineyards smell like on a sunny summer day. She tried to tell us about this with the help of the Zeste de Vigne fragrance, which she created together with the already mentioned Francis Kurkdzhyan. Well, let's write it down: at noon (and it is at this hour that we are invited to go on an imaginary walk, the route of which also includes a greenhouse), here you can feel the sharpness of lemon, the tenderness of an orange, the bitterness of an orange and the freshness of a tangerine.

This is exactly the case when the name of the fragrance carries comprehensive information about its sound. The composition is really built on a loud combination of mandarin and basil: chamomile, green tea and amber are intended only to emphasize it - but in no case "interrupt". If your soul requires more variety, you can do your own perfume experiments and complement Mandarine Basilic with one of the other fragrances from the Aqua Allegoria collection - for example, Herba Fresca.

This composition is suitable for those who like it hot: instead of a bright citrus accord, subtle notes of mandarin, rose and jasmine sound here, but they are replaced by Pierre Montale's favorite ingredient - burning oud. Such unexpected contrasting combinations justify themselves 100%: the “mood” of the fragrance changes hourly, from citrus it transforms into floral, and then completely becomes oriental - such a healthy eclecticism diversifies even the most monotonous everyday life.

One of the first compositions of the brand, as the name implies, is dedicated to grapefruit: in the heart “ the main character»Supplemented with jasmine, rosemary, mint and paprika, and vetiver in the trail. Despite the fact that perfume is good alone, it can - and should! - mix with other Jo Malone creations. The main thing is not to be afraid of experiments: for Grapefruit, the British woman, who always cares about the compatibility of her aromas, has provided a record number of variations. For example, add fruity Pomegranate Noir and Nectarine Blossom & Honey to sweeten and soften the scent. If you want something more extreme, Earl Gray & Cucumber will be an excellent companion for Grapefruit, in which the aroma of tea with bergamot, vanilla and honey is played up.

Ben Gorham made this composition very warm - but by no means exhaustingly “hot”. The perfumer softened the notes of bergamot with musk, rose and ambrette, thus giving Palermo that mysteriousness that you do not expect from a citrus scent.

Many people associate this cologne with a freshly ironed and starched shirt - and certainly a white one. It was precisely this effect that its author François Demachy sought: the Frenchman wanted to create a perfume classic that is ideal in its simplicity - just as universal and timeless as the basic item of a man's wardrobe. Like a fashionable "prototype", Dior Homme Cologne will certainly be worn with pleasure by girls: it is really impossible to resist the invigorating notes of grapefruit, complemented by musk and bergamot.

A fragrance dedicated to sunny Portofino must be light and fresh - to match the breeze on the Italian Riviera. Perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Ru fully managed to convey the carefree atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast: Neroli Portofino invigorates and at the same time soothes - it is not without reason that it is believed that essential oil neroli perfectly relieves nervous tension. Well, in a team with this wonderful ingredient, notes of bergamot and tangerine work, complemented by a persistent amber base - with such a scent, even in stuffy Moscow it is easy to feel like on the seashore!

Green Mandarin will certainly appeal to those who, even at the height of summer, cannot wait for the New Year: a composition with notes of orange, jasmine, eucalyptus and, of course, mandarin will allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of your favorite holiday no worse than an extraordinary viewing of "The Irony of Fate".

Frisson de Verveine, L'Occitane

Toilet water Frisson de Verveine, included in the new line "Exciting Vervain", can be called a perfume energetic without exaggeration. The scent of the perennial, so beloved by the French brand, is combined with refreshing aquatic notes, and therefore the tonic effect, which is inherent in all citrus compositions, is brought here to the maximum possible limit. Well, it looks like we've found an alternative to morning exercises!
