Description: Coming Soon New Year's celebration... On the eve of it, the students face the problem of how to decorate the school building, training classes and a new year tree. I want something unusual and beautiful. In this regard, the "workshop of Santa Claus" begins its work. In technology lessons, fine arts and circles additional education students under the guidance of subject teachers begin to tinker various crafts on new year theme... New Year is winter holiday, and the accompanying companions of winter are light, delicate, snow-white snowflakes. They can simply be cut out of paper or made from cotton wool. I suggest using the quilling technique to make snowflakes, which will help create a unique and original pattern. My master class will be useful for technology teachers or teachers of additional education and will help to make amazing decorations with minor material costs. Master Class designed for students in grades 5-8.
Purpose: Snowflakes are suitable for interior decoration, and will also look good on a Christmas tree.
Snowflakes - pictures,
Look, hurry.
Each has six
Golden rays
And every curvy ray -
Winter is an enchanted key. [

Target: making snowflakes.
Tasks:
- to acquaint with the quilling technique;
- to promote the development of creativity, accuracy;
- develop fine motor skills hands;

We will need the following tools and materials:
-office or colored paper format А-4,
- a pencil with a ruler,
- stick for rolls or knitting needle,
- scissors and PVA glue,
-beads for decoration,
- white threads.

Progress:

1. Line a sheet of paper lengthwise every 0.5 cm. Cut the resulting strips with scissors, observing safety rules:
- Observe the cutting direction of the scissors.
-The scissors must be sharp.
-Do not hold the tool with the blade up.
-Do not leave it with open blades.
-Do not cut with scissors on the go.
-During work, do not approach your friend and do not distract him.
-You can only pass the scissors closed and rings forward.

2. Making "petals"

Roll one end of the strip onto a knitting needle into a roll. Remove it and slightly unscrew it to a ring with a diameter of 2.5-3 cm.

Glue the free end to the ring, observing safety rules when working with glue:
-Work carefully so that the glue does not get on your fingers, face and eyes.
-If glue gets into your eyes, you need to rinse them in a large number water.
-At the end work be sure to wash your hands.
- Use a napkin when handling glue.

You need to wait until the glue dries. Press the ring with your fingers on both sides, giving it the shape of a "petal".

We need 12 such "petals"

3. Making "rollers"
Roll one end of the strip onto a knitting needle into a roll. Without removing the roll from the knitting needle, glue the free end. When the glue dries, remove the roll from the knitting needle, thus getting a dense "roller". We need 19 rollers. To make the snowflake brighter, you can make the rollers out of paper. different colors(for example 13 blue and 6 white)

4.Making "hearts"
Fold the strip in half.

Roll one side of the strip onto the knitting needle inward to the bend and remove it from the knitting needle.

Do the same with the other side of the strip.

Glue the resulting curls together, forming "hearts".

We need 18 hearts. In order not to confuse when assembling snowflakes, it is better to use "hearts" of different colors. (For example, 12 white and 6 blue)

5. From the obtained figures, we will begin to collect a snowflake.
Take a blue "roller" and glue six "petals" to it with rounded ends. To make the base of the snowflake more durable, you need to glue the “petals” together as well.

Take six more "petals" and place between the glued "petals" of the base of the snowflake with sharp ends pointing inward.

Glue them carefully.

After the glue on the base of the snowflake has dried, we continue to assemble it further. Place blue and white hearts alternately near each "petal" of the blank.

In order not to get confused, I recommend that you first glue the blue hearts on the sharp ends of the snowflake, and then the white ones on the rounded ends.

Take the blue "rolls" and place them in two near the ends of the white "hearts".

We glue them together and the end of the "heart".

We glue the white ones to the blue "rollers". Place the remaining white hearts over the tip of the blue ones.

When the glue is dry, the white hearts can be glued to the blue ones.

The construction is ready. Let's decorate it with shiny beads. Glue one bead in the middle of the snowflake and six on the white "rollers". I recommend generously greasing the beads with glue so that they do not fall off in the future.

6. Let's make a mount for the snowflake.
We pass both ends of the white thread into the hole of the bead.

Above the bead, we will tie a knot of a shiny strip from the "rain" (you can use a white thread instead of "rain")

Cut off the excess ends of the thread from the knot with scissors.

Tie the mount to the sharp end of any white heart.

7. The snowflake is ready to use. It can be used to decorate a wardrobe.

Snowflakes look especially beautiful in a group of two or three pieces.

They can be used to decorate curtains, wallpaper or hang on a Christmas tree.

The quilling technique appeared quite a long time ago, about 500 years ago. For the first time she began to appear in European countries. This technique involves curling up strips of paper and then gluing them together. Further, these swirling stripes make up various patterns and crafts. Collapsed stripes form both closed shapes and open ones. From simple figures form patterns that can be both uncomplicated and whole works of art. The patterns in this technique are very airy and lacy. Therefore, today we will consider how to make an original quilling snowflake step by step. We will do openwork snowflake that can be hung on christmas tree or near the desktop, so that she reminds us that the holidays have come and we need to devote more time to family and rest.

Learning the basics of quilling techniques: snowflake step by step for beginners

To make it we need:
  • Toothpick;
  • Tweezers;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue;
  • Paper.

Let's start making big snowflakes in the quilling technique.

We take an album sheet and draw stripes on it with a pencil and a ruler. Be sure to make sure that the lines are straight. Then we cut the sheet along the lines we have drawn. A clerical knife can help us with this.

We take a toothpick and apply it to the edge of the strip, and then we wind the strip around the toothpick, coil by coil.

We fix the end of the strip and carefully remove the resulting roll from the toothpick.

If you don't quite understand the description this process- do not worry, below will be presented to your attention a photo in which the process of creating basic elements is shown step by step.

We make another such blank, only now we squeeze one edge with our fingers. As a result this action we get an element like a droplet. For our composition, we repeat the above manipulations five more times.

Then we glue the resulting 6 droplets to the first figure.

Again we take a toothpick and wind more rolls and now squeeze on both sides so that the result is a figure in the form of an eye.

Between the petals-rays, we glue the details we just made.

Now we take 3 strips, bend them in half and cut them, we get 6 short strips.

We bored them in the way described above.

On each tip of the part we glue an eye-shaped figure.

We make 6 more coils and bend them with our fingers until we get a square shape.

We glue them with their top to a large coil.

Now we wind a strip of paper around a pencil, glue the end of the paper and remove it from the pencil. This part will act as a loop for hanging it on Christmas trees, or whatever your heart desires.

Glue it to one of the tops of our snowflake. We stretch a ribbon or thread in the resulting ring.

As in any of the activities in quilling, of course, there are certain clichés or, in other words, basic elements. Let's take a look at how they look. Exists various forms coils. Let's take a look at the most popular ones.

  1. An open coil is when the end of a strip does not attach to its main body.
  2. Closed coil - the end of the strip is secured to form a closed loop.
  3. Dense coil - the strip is very tightly stretched throughout the twisting and tightly fastened, such a coil looks like a knot on an openwork background.
  4. Large coil - when creating we use regular pencil or any other thick core or frame for winding.
  5. Drop - press one end with your fingers.
  6. Eye - press both ends.
  7. Petal - squeeze with your fingers and bend on one side.
  8. Sheet - squeeze on both sides and make waves.
  9. Curls - fold the strip in half and wind the ends in different sides.

You can see various options for snowflake patterns in the photo below:

Quilling is the art of creation openwork patterns from paper. Translated from English quill - "bird feather". The brainchild of your creativity beautiful airy lace crystal clear patterns can be. You can create amazing compositions, full of all the colors of the rainbow, bringing the mood you want. Paintings made using this technique will fit into any interior: from Gothic to high-tech, the flexibility of this art allows you to combine severity and grace, variegated or gloomy tones, from flowers to portraits, it depends only on the desires and scope of work: all this is possible say about quilling. You can not only enjoy your time, but also benefit both your interior and your wallet, because high-quality work has a high price.

A ruler with round holes is needed so that our spirals are of the same diameter. You can buy a regular ruler with holes at a stationery store. Although this ruler is not needed for our snowflake. It is worth noting that you can twist the strips with different tools. You can use an awl, a special slotted rod, a toothpick.

And now we will make an openwork and airy one with our own hands.

quilling snowflake.

So, for the snowflake we need:

  • Strips of paper:
1-15 cm for the center circle
    8 - 8.5 cm for sleeve
    4-15 cm for scrolls
    4 - 7.5 cm for droplets
    4 - 5 cm for diamonds
The standard strip width is 3mm. The paper should be fairly thick (the weight of the paper should be at least 60 grams per square meter) so that it folds neatly and keeps its shape. If you have a shredder, you can make strips directly on it.
  • Any quick-drying adhesive, preferably not very liquid
  • Special tool for quilling. The most common alternatives are a gypsy needle or the most common wooden toothpick.

0 We start from the central circle (strip 15 cm). The paper must be rolled very tightly so that it can hold itself correct shape... After that, we drip glue onto the tip of the strip and glue it to the circle.

0
For droplets we use strips 7.5 cm long.Technique is almost the same as in the previous step, only at the end, before gluing the edge, we leave a little more free space and give the circle a droplet shape.

0
We make diamonds from strips 5 cm long. We twist small circles, glue the edge and then make a diamond out of it.

0
Moving on to the scrolls. We bend the strips 15 cm long in half and fold the spirals to the center, you should get a kind of hearts.

0
The last piece is sleeves. For them, we use strips of 8 cm. On the one hand, we make 2 turns, on the other, we roll about 2.5 centimeters. When all the sleeves are ready we glue them back together.

After all the preparations, we should have:
  • 1 circle
  • 4 drops
  • 4 rhombuses
  • 4 scrolls
  • 4 sleeves

0 Now that all the parts are ready, we glue our snowflake together step by step. Once the snowflake is ready, it can be coated with glitter or a silver-colored spray.

You can leave the snowflakes white. Or you can spray them or sprinkle them with glitter.
You can hang a snowflake using beautiful tape or colorless fishing line.

Snowflakes can be made from white paper and spray painted in the desired color. And you can make snowflakes from colored paper.

Colored snowflakes (quilling)

Notice some of the snowflakes are made of two colors, but all the colors are very soft, which gives the snowflakes a lace look.

Air snowflakes and paper decorations

What technique can better convey airiness and lightness, an openwork lace pattern of snowflakes, than a quilling technique? Making snowflakes out of paper, or rather from twisted stripes, resembles a mosaic or a kaleidoscope with a huge number of options. The prepared parts can be glued to the base, making postcards or panels, or they can be glued together to hang amazing lace decorations on the Christmas tree. For these works you will need white office paper. It needs to be cut into strips 5 mm thick at short side... It is better to cut with a clerical knife along a ruler, several sheets at once. For small amount can be cut with scissors. You can twist the strips with different tools. You can use an awl, a special slotted rod, a toothpick. But it was for the execution of snowflakes that we most liked working with a wooden skewer. To make a snowflake (pendant or applique) you need to prepare various forms from twisted stripes. Forms can be closed, i.e. glued and open, where no glue is used. Both are suitable for applications. And for a snowflake-pendant, only closed forms can be used.

  • Eye shape. Squeeze the round workpiece on both sides at the same time.
  • Form "Square". Follow the "Eye" shape, rotate it vertically and squeeze the sides again.
  • Form "Rhombus". Make it out of "Square".
  • Shape "Triangle". Make a "Drop", take the corner and flatten the base of the triangle.
  • Arrow form. Make a "Triangle" and end index finger press in the middle of the short side.
  • Crescent shape. It is executed almost like the "Eye", but in a curved shape. And the corners are not pinched opposite each other, but with a shift.

Hello dear blog readers Life Hand made ! And again an article about snowflakes. Why? These new Year decoration do not require expensive materials, but making them is interesting. Children really like the result. And voluminous paper snowflakes sometimes surprise even adults!

What techniques are used to make volumetric snowflakes out of paper

How to decorate your house for the holiday?

Of course, you can't do without snowflakes!

DIY paper snowflakes are made on New Year already long time, therefore, the set different methods how to make a voluminous snowflake without a ruler, pencil and glue.

These are snowflakes made from strips of paper. I wrote about how to make them in the article.

There are also techniques such as origami and quilling.

I will write about this in more detail here.

Maybe even you will invent your own unique method while you cut out simple well-known snowflakes.

The templates are presented below - go and get creative!

And feel free to share the results in the comments!

Volumetric snowflakes made of A4 paper

From a sheet of A4 paper, you need to make a blank for cutting - an even square.

How to do it quickly and easily?

You just need to fold the piece of paper as shown in the figure.

Volumetric paper snowflakes: templates for cutting

It is better to make this snowflake not from white paper, but from colored paper, and even better in general from packaging, shiny.

It is very simple to perform, but it looks great at the same time!

A snowflake consists of six rays, which are fastened to each other with glue or a stapler - as it is more convenient for anyone.

The step-by-step work can be described as follows.

  1. You need to take a square out of paper and fold it into a triangle. Make cuts as in the first photo.
  2. Glue the corners of the smallest central square to make a tube.
  3. Fold the corners of the next square into reverse side and so glue.
  4. So bend the corners alternately in different directions and glue. One ray will turn out.

More clearly the scheme for making a snowflake is shown in the photo.

You need to make 6 such rays, fasten them together, and you will succeed big snowflake 3 d.

Fluffy multi-colored volumetric snowflake made of paper

You can also make such a beautiful snowflake.

She also looks very impressive.

Step-by-step instructions for cutting fluffy snowflakes:

The paper square needs to be folded in half, a triangle is obtained.

And now this triangle must be folded in half again.

Now the thickest fold of the triangle must be folded with the longest to get a blank as in the figure.

After that, along the cut line, you need to cut off the excess paper, as shown in the figure with the dotted line.

On the resulting blank, it remains to make cuts and you will get a fluffy snowflake.

Cutting will not take long because the cuts do not need to be done very neatly.

The main thing is to try to make stripes thinner, so it will be more beautiful.

You can cut several of these snowflakes of different sizes.

Then fluffy snowflakes can be glued together in the center, and you get one, but a luxurious snowflake.

Volumetric snowflakes using the quilling technique: step by step schemes

As I already wrote in my article, quilling is special way needlework.

If you cut the paper into narrow stripes half a centimeter wide, twist them into rolls and glue the edges, then amazing applications can be created from these rolls.

And now, as it turns out, there are also beautiful snowflakes!

Isn't it a cool openwork snowflake?

Diagram of how to make a snowflake using the quilling technique

And if you sew a bead to such a snowflake and attach a thread, you will get a beautiful pendant on a Christmas tree.

Volumetric origami snowflakes: a few simple schemes

Especially beautiful are obtained christmas snowflakes in the technique of the so-called modular origami.

You need to have great patience to create such a snowflake, because it consists of a huge number of modules.

But how proud you will be of her when everything is ready!

I will teach you how to make such complex snowflakes step by step.

So, add the first simple module as follows.

How to assemble a snowflake from modules: master class.

The assembly of the snowflake starts from the central part. The middle must be folded from 12 modules.

The edges of the module must be inserted into the pockets of the rest of the same modules.

Attach all modules to one side using the checkerboard method. Those. staggered. This will form a chain of a pair of rows connected to each other.

Unscrew the rest of the module and connect the ends of the chain with it, so you will form a ring.

We increase the length of each beam by attaching modules to it.
