You can also make an owl from modules. For this, of course, you will need more time and effort, but the result will pay off. Such a figurine will serve great gift for any holiday or celebration. For this figure we need 433 modules. white, we can make modules from the newspaper.

For the first row, we need 31 modules, put them together and close them in a ring. For the next three rows, we use the same number of modules.

Now we need to make the breast for our bird. For the fifth row, take 8 modules, for the sixth row, take 7 modules, and for the seventh row, take 6 modules. Here is our breast and ready.

And now we will assemble the back of the future owl, for this we skip one module. For the fifth row we need 21 modules, for the sixth ─ 20 modules, for the seventh row we take 19 modules, for the eighth ─ 18, and for the ninth ─ take 17 modules. So we folded the back.

We start collecting the head. To do this, from the center of the breast, you need to skip one module and put on 9 modules on the sides with the long side out.

In order to do smooth transition from back to head, we need to get 11 initial modules from the tail side and insert them back with the long side out.

Now we need to assemble the cheeks, for this we put on 3 modules on both sides on the extreme 3 modules, and so on two rows. And on the next row there are 2 more modules.

Let's move on to the head. On the last 11 modules from the back, we put on 10 modules, and then in each next row we subtract 1 module until we reach 2 modules.

Now let's make a beak. Insert 1 module into the last 2 head modules, then insert 2 modules into it and alternate 1 and 2 modules again. And for the beak itself, you need to take 3 modules, insert them into each other with the long side outward and insert them into the previous 2 modules.

Then this whole structure needs to be rounded off and inserted into that skipped module on the breast.

We will make four pairs of large wings, for this we take 8 modules and insert them into each other. And two pairs of small wings, 3 modules each.

To make an owl out of paper, we need a few more additional tools, also the necessary blanks:

  • 456 pieces of white paper, pre-prepared modules from a sheet of 4 x 6 cm; (a description of how to make them is given below);
  • 3 pieces of black paper, sheet 4.5 by 7 cm;
  • paper;
  • black marker or felt-tip pen;
  • thick wire 70-80 cm long;
  • shiny tape or corrugated paper of any color;
  • glue.

To make a basic blank, take a sheet of paper and fold it in half along the long side (2). Then again in half to mark the fold line in the center (3). Unbend the workpiece (4), bend one half down along the fold line (5). We do the same with the other half (6), turn it over with a triangle towards us (7). We bend the bottom corner towards ourselves and up on both sides (8.9). Then we fold these two segments up (10,11). After that, fold the triangle in half, with segments inward (12).

To collect the breast, gradually reduce by one module in each row. That is, there are already 6 triangles on the 7th row.

We pass to the back, that is, we are no longer going up, but down. 5 row we make 21 modules, 6 row - 20 and so on up to 9 rows, where we get 17 modules. In the tenth row, you must skip three triangles from two opposite sides, and we get 14 tips.

For rows 11, 12 and 13, like the previous one, we exclude three modules, as a result, you should get 5.

After that, we continue as usual, we put 4 tips on the 14th row, 15 - 3. The last 16th row has 1 module. Extend the breast by 4 rows. We have got the breast, back and tail of an owl. There is an empty space and gap between the back and chest.

For the head, we find the central part of the breast and insert one module at the sides. Add 8 more triangles to the sides.

We take out 11 modules from the back, which at the very beginning were set with the short side up. We insert them outward long.

On the most lateral sides we insert three blanks to make the cheeks of an owl, then three on top, and two more. This is the figure you should get.

For the head, we put 10 blanks on the previous eleven modules that were turned over. The next one is glad - 9. And so we continue on until there are two modules. From the side it looks like this.

To make a beak, add one module to the top two, then 1 and 2 more. Then three more in a row one by one (made of black paper). The tip should be rounded into the gap left in the torso.

We make the legs from three modules, that is, we connect two with one. To create the claws, paint the tip with a black marker. Glue the paws in the body with glue.

From the center of the breast, skipping the middle module, insert 9 modules on the sides with the long side out (SDS).

On the outermost 3 of the nine modules, we put on 2 rows of 3 modules and one row of two modules. Then do the same on the other side.

Now we form the head.
We insert 10 into 11 modules on the back, then in each next row we subtract one module until there are 2 of them.

Making a beak.
Insert 1 into 2 modules, insert two into it, then again 1 and again 2. For the beak itself, insert three modules into each other with the long side and insert into the previous 2 modules.

Now we carefully round the resulting structure and place the end of the beak instead of the previously skipped module on the breast.

We collect the wings

Insert the finished wings into the body.


We make paws. On the short side of the module, put 2 modules with the long side out. We insert the legs into place so that the body rises slightly, resting on them. Better to stick.

We put 2 modules into each other and insert into place behind the cheeks.
