What did not like:

The smell is more pleasant than not, but intense. These are purely my feelings. But my family doesn't like it at all. As a result, I try to use it not right before bedtime, but early so that I can ventilate the room.

2. Moisturizing cream with olive oil and peach kernel oil

From this series emollient cream- my favorite! Rating - 5. I will definitely buy it further.

Summing up, I can say that this series of "Velvet Hands" on the whole made a favorable impression on me.

However, in my opinion, the cream still has an insufficient moisturizing effect.

Especially when, after a long cleaning, the skin on the hands “pulls together”, and you want to get rid of this feeling as soon as possible.

You have to apply a fairly generous amount of Velvet Hands cream to moisturize the skin on your hands.

The second tool is a cream from the company Ciel, a series of SPA. The packaging also indicates that the cream has a rejuvenating effect and contains vitamins A, C, F and B5.

This tool has a denser structure, it needs to be rubbed into the skin for a longer time so that it is completely absorbed. I sincerely loved velvet pens in 2005-2007 and believed that better than creams not in the whole wide world. Once my friend said that velvet handles (Next - BR) will suit me until I try better creams. Then I realize that BRs dry out the skin. I didn't believe her. But in vain!

But when she switched to Infinum network cosmetics in 2007, she was surprised to admit that she was right. After 2010, when this network company merged with Faberlic and it’s not known what was going on in its line, I got hooked on Handson hand creams from the First Solution (I will write a review about them later and will praise them). Periodically, I alternated Handson with the use of inexpensive creams and testing different brands.

So I repeated my use of BR in 2010 and my opinion was something like: "Nothing is absorbed, absolutely no nourishment. What happened to him ?!"

Now, I returned to it in 2013 and can call it "disappointment of the year". This is not a nourishing cream, but a non-absorbent Silicone Grease. He doesn't feed at all. It smears like a lubricant and I just can't pick up another characterizing epithet for it, except as "grease". It is felt on the hands 15 minutes after application. After even 30-40 minutes, it "climbs" to the surface of the skin upon contact with water. And at the same time, it dries my hands - I want to apply it or any other cream, again and again. I hate throwing away any cosmetics that haven't gone bad, but this tube is going to be thrown away. Moreover, I tried to mix it with other creams. WITH oily creams it glides over them and is not absorbed at all. With low-fat creams - the same story.

What, in my understanding, should be a nourishing cream with shea butter, provitamin B5 and avocado oil?

It must be nutritious. The first rule of nourishing creams is the prevailing proportion of oils in the composition of the cream. What does it mean? Let me explain.

Cream is oil mixed with water until smooth. Any cream implies three components: water, oil and an emulsifier. An emulsifier is a component that allows oil and water to be mixed into a homogeneous mixture. the products themselves are heterogeneous.

Any cream, by default, are of two types: water in oil, or oil in water.

In total, in the composition of any cream, water and oil should be in the first positions. If the cream is nourishing, then it should contain more oil than water. This is called "water in oil". If the cream is not nutritious, but any other, it should contain more water than oil (oil in water).

In the best creams, water can be replaced with a hydrolat or flower water. But these are already nuances.

Now back to BR Nourishing Cream. Like I said, I didn't like it at all. And then I thought of looking at the composition. And that was a paragraph, comrades! Complete lunch!

However, I will note one more interesting detail. Provitamin B5, which in cosmetics has the designation D-Panthenol, in a cream is not present. Absent. Instead, there is Panthenol. I emphasize that Panthenol, though close relative provitamin B5 and is very close to it in properties, but it is still not provitamin B5. So, the manufacturer lied to us.

Overall, I can say that this cream is terrible. And I wouldn't even call it cream. Given that the first oil in its composition is in 9th place, and the most useful ingredients take 9-12 places in the composition. And pay attention again - in nourishing cream oil must come before water. BEFORE the water, not in the 9th place, 8 steps below the water.
