Hand cream velvet handles nourishing. Review of hand creams "velvet hands"

Good evening to all readers of Alimero!

Today I want to bring to your attention my review of the three creams "Velvet Hands", which are produced by the Kalina Concern.

Earlier, I already wrote a topic about Velvet Hands hand cream and mask, but it was a different series - innovative Beautology, each product of which costs around 90-100 rubles.

And those creams that will be discussed today belong to a more budget segment. The price for each tube is 35-40 rubles. Therefore, I compare and give my assessments in accordance with cosmetics in the same price category.

The volume of each of them is 80 ml, it is recommended to use within 6 months after opening. I also noticed that they were all dermatologically tested.

1. Nourishing cream with shea butter, avocado oil and provitamin B5

What the manufacturer claims:

It promises intensive nourishment, softening, moisturizing, and also a soothing effect. And as a result - velvety, elastic, delicate skin hands

What I liked:

The texture is really quite rich, which I like.

Dryness eliminates and the skin really softens. Especially pleased that the action is prolonged. At least the effect does not disappear after the first washing of the dishes.

I was pleased to note that the components declared on the tube (specifically, I was interested in shea butter and avocado oil) are present in the composition.

Great price for quite good quality.

What did not like:

The smell is more pleasant than not, but intense. These are purely my feelings. But my family doesn't like it at all. As a result, I try to use it not right before bedtime, but early so that I can ventilate the room.

Conclusion:

Quite good cream, which, in my opinion, deserves on a 5-point scale among the same budget options a solid four, and even with a plus.

2. Moisturizing cream with olive oil and peach kernel oil

What the manufacturer claims:

This intense hydration, maintaining moisture levels and protective properties. After use, the skin should become soft, smooth and radiant with youth =)

What we liked:

Moisturizes the skin and without a heavy load of this effect may well be enough for the whole day.

Oils are included.

What did not like:

The consistency is more liquid than that of a nourishing cream. I like thicker.

Soft and smooth skin just before the first contact with water.

I didn’t like the smell at all, plus it’s sharp. I did not find any pleasant notes. Only the fragrance that is always added to Vaseline. It reminded me of terrible hand creams in similar tubes from Avon.

Conclusion:

I doubt the assessment, but this is something in the region of a C grade. I will only buy this cream if I have no choice.

3. Emollient cream with cocoa butter, D-panthenol and allantoin

What the manufacturer claims:

It is promised that the cream will eliminate dryness and peeling, relieve irritation, and restore skin cells. And she, in turn, will become elastic, tender and velvety.

What I liked:

Cocoa butter is present in the composition, which certainly pleases me. I love it for its beneficial effect on the skin.

I liked the smell, although it is intense.

The texture is quite rich, the sensations when applied are pleasant.

The effect is long - enough for a day.

Really eliminates dry skin and makes it softer and smoother.

Perfectly absorbed. I really liked the fact that using it at night, you wash your face in the morning without feeling “soap” on your hands and this cream on your face.

What did not like:

Didn't find any cons.

Conclusion:

From this series emollient cream- my favorite! Rating - 5. I will definitely buy it further.

Summing up, I can say that this series of "Velvet Hands" on the whole made a favorable impression on me.

When compared with other products of the Kalina Concern in the same price segment, such as hand creams "Clean Line" or "One Hundred Recipes of Beauty", then I definitely prefer the softening and nourishing cream "Velvet Hands".

Have you used products from this series? What is your impression?

The age of a woman can be easily guessed by the skin of her hands. Ask how? Very simple. If we take care of the face with the help of various creams (both ordinary nourishing and anti-wrinkle), then we often forget about the hands. IN young age the skin is smooth and even, but the older we get, the older the skin becomes. She, too, is covered with a network of wrinkles. And slowing down the aging process here is much more difficult than doing it for facial skin. Moreover, many do not think about this at all, not paying due attention to the pens.

In contact with

Affects the skin of the hands great amount factors: cold weather, wet cleaning with various chemicals and just washing dishes. In general, our pens have a hard time. But it is in our power to provide them with proper care!

In this article, I will talk about the easy way- Use of hand cream. Many do not even put it out of their purse, because they may need it at any moment. Especially in the cold season! For example, I will give three different creams for hands, I will describe their properties and compare them with each other. Which one to buy is up to you!

So, let's begin. The first cream from one of the most famous brands in this segment - "Velvet handles". They have a large line of hand care products, but I will talk about one of them: this is a moisturizer with olive oil and peach kernels.

The cream has a pleasant delicate texture that is instantly absorbed into the skin (it does not need to be rubbed for a long time), leaving no feeling of the presence of the cream itself. Only the smell of olive oil (by the way, very gentle and pleasant) can remind you that you have just applied a cream to your skin. It becomes smooth and silky.

However, in my opinion, the cream still has an insufficient moisturizing effect.

Especially when, after a long cleaning, the skin on the hands “pulls together”, and you want to get rid of this feeling as soon as possible.

You have to apply a fairly generous amount of Velvet Hands cream to moisturize the skin on your hands.

The second tool is a cream from the company Ciel, a series of SPA. The packaging also indicates that the cream has a rejuvenating effect and contains vitamins A, C, F and B5.

This tool has a denser structure, it needs to be rubbed into the skin for a longer time so that it is completely absorbed. You yourself will feel when it is absorbed, and until that moment I advise circular massage movements distribute cream. The result is about the same as in the previous case - the skin is smooth. It may be a little less silky, but the moisturizing effect is immediately felt here.

And by the way, the smell of this cream is not like a typical one.

It is slightly sour, for an amateur. True, the smell does not last very long on the skin, so it will not have time to bother you.

Unlike, by the way, from the first cream. There the smell will haunt you for a long time. But some people even like it.

And finally, the third cream. More precisely, it is even a balm from Lactimilk based on milk probiotics and propolis.

When we apply this tool on the hand, first of all, it seems that some kind of oil is included in its composition. And indeed it is. The balm is based on mulberry oil, which helps to restore damaged skin and protect against dryness.

As for the smell, propolis is clearly felt here.

In terms of properties, in my opinion, this is one of the the best means. Absorbs into the skin quickly, almost instantly moisturizes it and relieves the feeling of "tightness" and dryness.

The texture is quite thick cream, but oiliness is felt. And although the first cream was also created on the basis of oil, there is no such sensation there.

Now let's sum up. For clarity, I will put down points for each tool for each of the criteria.

  • Absorption rate:
    1. "Velvet hands" - 5 points;
    2. Ciel - 4 points;
    3. Lactimilk - 5 points.
  • Humidity degree:
    1. "Velvet hands" - 4 points;
    2. Ciel - 5 points;
    3. Lactimilk - 5 points.

The winner of this mini-competition is clear. However, everyone has their own tastes and evaluation criteria. For example, you may not like the smell of propolis, which means that the Lactimilk remedy will not suit you at all. Or do you like long cosmetic procedures with SPA effect, then your perfect option- cream from Ciel. The main thing is not to forget about our pens and give them daily (preferably) worthy care!

P.S. And finally, a little tip: when applying the cream on your hand, do not forget about your fingers and nails! They also need nourishment and hydration!

Conclusion

Cream Velvet Hands is a tool that helps eliminate various disadvantages skin and preserve the beauty of the hands. The manufacturer presents a wide range of products with different actions and a unique composition. Brand Velvet Hands is an expert in the field of hand care.

Product name: Hand cream Velvet Hands nourishing from the concern Kalina

Product volume: 80 ml

From the manufacturer: The special formula of the cream is designed for intensive nutrition and softening of the skin. A complex of effective ingredients: Shea butter, provitamin B5 and Avocado oil - has a moisturizing and soothing effect, nourishes the skin, improves its elasticity. Your skin is amazingly smooth, delicate, velvety, radiates youth and beauty.

My review: I love products from Kalina and I think that they have a lot of very successful things.

I sincerely loved velvet pens in 2005-2007 and believed that better than creams not in the whole wide world. Once my friend said that velvet handles (Next - BR) will suit me until I try better creams. Then I realize that BRs dry out the skin. I didn't believe her. But in vain!

But when she switched to Infinum network cosmetics in 2007, she was surprised to admit that she was right. After 2010, when this network company merged with Faberlic and it’s not known what was going on in its line, I got hooked on Handson hand creams from the First Solution (I will write a review about them later and will praise them). Periodically, I alternated Handson with the use of inexpensive creams and testing different brands.

So I repeated my use of BR in 2010 and my opinion was something like: "Nothing is absorbed, absolutely no nourishment. What happened to him ?!"

Now, I returned to it in 2013 and can call it "disappointment of the year". This is not a nourishing cream, but a non-absorbent Silicone Grease. He doesn't feed at all. It smears like a lubricant and I just can't pick up another characterizing epithet for it, except as "grease". It is felt on the hands 15 minutes after application. After even 30-40 minutes, it "climbs" to the surface of the skin upon contact with water. And at the same time, it dries my hands - I want to apply it or any other cream, again and again. I hate throwing away any cosmetics that haven't gone bad, but this tube is going to be thrown away. Moreover, I tried to mix it with other creams. WITH oily creams it glides over them and is not absorbed at all. With low-fat creams - the same story.

What, in my understanding, should be a nourishing cream with shea butter, provitamin B5 and avocado oil?

It must be nutritious. The first rule of nourishing creams is the prevailing proportion of oils in the composition of the cream. What does it mean? Let me explain.

Cream is oil mixed with water until smooth. Any cream implies three components: water, oil and an emulsifier. An emulsifier is a component that allows oil and water to be mixed into a homogeneous mixture. the products themselves are heterogeneous.

Any cream, by default, are of two types: water in oil, or oil in water.

In total, in the composition of any cream, water and oil should be in the first positions. If the cream is nourishing, then it should contain more oil than water. This is called "water in oil". If the cream is not nutritious, but any other, it should contain more water than oil (oil in water).

In the best creams, water can be replaced with a hydrolat or flower water. But these are already nuances.

Now back to BR Nourishing Cream. Like I said, I didn't like it at all. And then I thought of looking at the composition. And that was a paragraph, comrades! Complete lunch!

Traditionally, I remind you that all the ingredients in cosmetics are always listed in descending order in the composition of the cream.

1. Water.

2. Caprylic/capric triglyceride- non-greasy emollient and moisturizer made from coconut oil.

3. isohexadecane- an oily cleansing component that gives velvety to the skin. It is dangerous because it does not allow the skin to breathe.

4. Cyclopentasiloxane- silicone. Gives a feeling of softness and silkiness.

5. Glycerin- Glycerin is used in moisturizing creams. A controversial ingredient in creams, as it draws moisture from the lower layers of the skin and transports it to the outer layer. Most people say it's harmless in small doses, but it can be harmful and dry in high doses (considering it's number four, it's a big dose in this cream).

6. Glyceryl stearate citrate- emulsifier with moisturizing effect.

7. Cetearyl alcohol- a mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols. Used in cosmetics as a solvent, emulsifier, thickener, structural basis for other ingredients. Made from coconut oil.

8. Dimethicone- silicone. Protects the skin, forms a film that prevents moisture loss.

Please note - the first 8 ingredients - softening the skin products, products that form a film and either prevent the skin from breathing or simply prevent moisture loss, silicones, and glycerin, which moves moisture from one layer of the skin to another and dries the skin in large quantities.

For those who do not know - I remind you. The first 7-8 ingredients are the main composition of the cream. Everything that comes next is a tiny fraction of the total mass of the product and can be discarded when considering the composition as irrelevant.

9. Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter)- Shea butter. Protects, moisturizes and nourishes the skin. Helps prevent wrinkles, eliminates inflammation. Makes the skin supple and elastic. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin. One of the best oils for skin and nourishing cream. It’s a pity that in the cream it’s such a minuscule amount that there’s nothing to talk about.

10. Persea gratissima (avocado) oil- avocado oil. Beneficial for the skin, moisturizes and protects. It would be great if it weren't so small.

11. Allantoin- natural emollient and moisturizer.

12. Panthenol- natural moisturizer.

13. propylene glycol- cheap substitute for glycerin. An allergen and irritant that tends to clog the skin.

However, I will note one more interesting detail. Provitamin B5, which in cosmetics has the designation D-Panthenol, in a cream is not present. Absent. Instead, there is Panthenol. I emphasize that Panthenol, though close relative provitamin B5 and is very close to it in properties, but it is still not provitamin B5. So, the manufacturer lied to us.

Overall, I can say that this cream is terrible. And I wouldn't even call it cream. Given that the first oil in its composition is in 9th place, and the most useful ingredients take 9-12 places in the composition. And pay attention again - in nourishing cream oil must come before water. BEFORE the water, not in the 9th place, 8 steps below the water.

My mark: 0/10

Price: 10-16 UAH (1.3-2 $)

Ah, these Velvet hands! Paradoxically, but true: women who choose luxury brand cosmetics for facial skin care are content with the cheapest brands of hand cream. What difference does it make which cream you use? If hands don't deliver special problems, the skin is soft, does not dry out, then care can be completely limited to the use of a regular low-budget hand cream.

Hand creams, like face creams, are also divided into several types:

  • moisturizing
  • nutritious
  • protective
  • special: bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, antifungal.

Do you want to be satisfied with the result of applying the hand cream? Then you need to clearly understand what problems your new cream should solve. suitable for hands. In any case, it is necessary to carefully examine the packaging for composition. So, vegetable oils and herbal extracts soften and moisturize the skin of the hands. Avocado oil, jojoba oil and cocoa butter are responsible for smoothness. Oil tea tree has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect. Small cracks are perfectly healed by aloe juice.

A little about the brand "Velvet Hands"

represented by several types, and in addition to or for more serious care, a new improved series "Beautology" has been developed. The history of the Velvet Hands brand dates back to 97 of the last century, when women from the paintings of great artists, who are considered the standards of female beauty, were depicted on a tube of cream.

The updated series "Beautology" becomes more modern, and its quality is the result of many years scientific research and the choice of many Russian women.

Cream "Basic Care" is very popular with "office workers", because it is absorbed quickly, without leaving a sticky greasy film. You can work with documents, office equipment almost immediately after application. Possessing pleasant smell, the cream attracts women who smoke because it interrupts the smell of cigarettes. Fatty and dense cream with an oily consistency is suitable for winter care, because it does not fade, but is still washed off, leaving behind the skin of the hands soft and tender.

Velvet handles are care and attention

Fully justifies its name in relation to the care of hands "of any degree of complexity." To the credit of the manufacturer, it should be noted that the cream really possesses all the declared properties from instant absorption to softness and elasticity of the skin. It's cream "Basic care" and "Comprehensive" with active ingredient biotin and the traditional inclusion of vitamins A, E, milk proteins.

Creams "Nourishing" and "Hypoallergenic" are designed for sensitive skin and help healing small cracks. And the creams "Luxury Macadamia" and "Royal Argan" contain new exotic ingredients that have already found their regular fans. The low price with enviable basic properties makes creams this trademark one of the desired purchases for many compatriots. The updated series includes anti-aging cream for hands and it's not advertising ploy manufacturer. Anti-aging cosmetics for older women, these are the permanent “residents” of the dressing table of the ladies of the Balzac and post-Balzac age. Women do not spare money for cosmetics when it comes to the face.

Diametrically opposite attitude observed in relation to creams to maintain youthful hands. Meanwhile well-groomed face and the wrinkled skin of the hands will reveal the secret of age to a careful look. » anti-aging is as effective as similar face creams. Collagen and elastin, which are part of the composition, maintain skin elasticity and slow down the aging process. After thirty-five years, an anti-aging hand cream should definitely be among the care products if the beauty and youth of the hands are among the priorities.

Rules for applying hand cream

However, choosing a good cream that meets all the requirements is only part of a multi-stage operation called “Ah, those velvet hands!” Special mention deserves the procedure for preparing the hands and the actual application of the cream.

  • A warm herbal hand bath will open the skin pores for better penetration of nutrients into the skin, sea salt or other ingredients at your own discretion.
  • Then they wipe their hands dry, pick up a little cream with a special small spatula (an ordinary wooden stick for ice cream is suitable) and apply it on the hands. Then a gentle massage begins: smooth stroking movements are performed from the tips of the nails to the wrist, as if putting on invisible gloves. gently rub into the nail plate and cuticle. Do you know ? Excess cream is removed with a napkin. In general, a hand cream in application is in many ways similar to a face cream. Judge for yourself: it has an anti-aging effect, and massage enhances the nutritional effect.
  • Of course, in the cold season, the cream is applied half an hour before going outside, so that the water molecules that make up the cream do not crystallize and do not harm the skin.

- a product that many customers choose, but someone does not like the smell, consistency or short-term effect. To make a choice, it is necessary to test the action of the cream on "a single skin of the hands." In part, it helps to make a choice of a special test that is offered to pass on the site, and according to its results, a cream will be offered that is most suitable for the main characteristics.
